John Landré is a retired businessman. During the first half of his career he designed optical devices. The past twenty five years he spent researching growth in consciousness. André Fourie was born, bred and educated in Bloemfontein, South Africa. In 2002, after the company he had worked for was liquidated – leaving him unemployed for the second time - he and his wife decided to embark on a family adventure and moved to England with their three children. This venture has now extended to ten years and they have settled in the United Kingdom as British citizens with dual nationality. After obtaining an Honours degree in Marketing and Customer Relationship Management (1988), he followed a career in the financial sector in South Africa. His career took him to different jobs where he was, among other things, able to exploit his writing skills as copywriter and writer of training manuals. Having gone through two job loss encounters he sees himself as a quasi-expert on the topic. This book is a blend of his firsthand knowledge of being unemployed, his financial/marketing education and the knowledge/experience gained over more than thirty years (the last twenty in senior positions). In the mid 1990’s he became highly inspired and seriously put finger to keyboard after winning a national competition for first time writers – resulting in the publication of his entry. His second attempt, a motivational book, was published by one of the major publishing houses in South Africa (Van Schaik, now Tafelberg) in 1998. He subsequently has seen many articles under his name being published in various magazines and other publications in South Africa. Most of the formerly mentioned publications, though, were in his mother tongue, Afrikaans. His latest project is the story of a boy growing up during the 1960’s - the height of the Apartheid-years - in South Africa.

Now they live in an extended housetruck on their land by the Kaipara harbour, where they try to fit in some gardening (and homebuilding) when not working on Eutopian quests of one form or another, centred around Café Eutopia and more recently the Book Ark. They have four (mostly) grown-up children.

About the Author As a young man growing up in the French part of the West African country of Cameroon, Patrice Mouehla had an uncanny intellectual curiosity. He took an early interest in poetry writing and philosophy. He moved to the USA 20 years ago. His early job as a fashion consultant for the rich and powerful at Bergdorf Goodman in NY and later as the Executive VP for the luxury Italian tailoring House Duca Sartoria gave him a very intimate look and perspective into the lives of the rich and famous. That, coupled with his mother’s teachings and his mastery of philosophy gave way to an exhaustive analysis of life in Hollywood, life of fame and material possessions as a whole in a spiritual context. He sought to explain the miseries and unhappiness in that environment, despite all the fame and money. Marlene Keesler, M.S.W. experiences life from a multidimensional perspective. She received her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago, with an emphasis on human development.
