Author bio:
My name is Laura Regan and I write under the name L. M. Quinpool, author of two series - Children Of the Amulet and Calendrial. I'm descended from two very artistic families which include writers, actors, musicians and graphic artists. I write under the name Quinpool because my great great uncle John Regan wrote under the name John Quinpool, author of "First Things In Acadia". Re-using the name gave my grandfather and his siblings great joy and I'm proud to carry the name on. My first series Children Of the Amulet has three books already published in paperback through Ottawa publisher Baico Publishing. I hope to have my fourth book in the series I hope to put into paperback soon but for now it'll only be available with the other three on e-book. There are more already written in the series but they just aren't up to my personal standards and therefore not ready for print or digital books. My second, more Canadian series, Calendrial will be soon made available through e-book only until such time as it's possible to publish in print. In everyday life I'm a Linguist and psychology major. I'm also a web designer, music lover, photographer, and graphic designer. I enjoy working with children of all ages, sizes and abilities and helping them reach their fullest potential despite "lables" or "social roadblocks" they may be faced with. I write about children because I believe they are an important of the past present and future. I believe it is imporant to encourage them to shoot for the stars and I hope my books will empower them with the strength to change the world. For this reason my cousin Sarah Jaworski (now age 19) creates my cover designs of the Calendrial series and she and her brother Christopher (then 12 and 14) co-designed the first 3 Children Of the Amulet books. I very much hope you like my books and will pass the name Quinpool on to your family, friends and associates. Thanks to Smashwords and Baico Publishing for making my publishing dreams come true. A Private Commentary on the Bible: Jonah by James D. Quiggle A Private Commentary on the Bible: Jonah by James D. Quiggle May 24, 2012 $0.99 63069 words Sample 15%
Jonah is unique among the prophets: the book is about God’s message to Jonah and Jonah’s response. Here is an Old Testament example of the parable of the sheep that has gone astray. Jonah remains unrepentant to the end, and one of the themes of the book is, “Don’t be like Jonah. The book also reminds us God is Lord of all, the good news of his mercy, love, and salvation must go out to all.
Author bio:
James D. Quiggle holds Master's degrees in religion and theology and has been teaching and writing about the Bible for over thirty years. He became a Christian in 1974 while in the US Air Force at a little Baptist church in Indian Springs, Nevada. A career in the military gave him teaching and writing experience in many denominations and local churches in the USA and Europe. “My goal as a young Christian,” he said, “was to understand the Bible. Teaching was a natural result of understanding. Writing followed.” Mr. Quiggle believes Biblical truth has the intrinsic power to produce positive change. The mature Believer uses the Bible to make informed decisions about his or her faith. “The intent of every book I write,” he said, “is to help the reader validate the truth by checking out the facts. It is also my hope that my books will be used by local church teachers as source material for their ministries.” Mr. Quiggle's goal is to teach the Bible so that others may decide for themselves what the Bible has to say about their faith and life.

A Private Commentary on the Bible: Ruth by James D. Quiggle A Private Commentary on the Bible: Ruth by James D. Quiggle May 24, 2012 $0.99 44247 words Sample 15%
The book of Ruth describes what the life of faith should look like from its barest beginnings in its first profession, to the fruition of faith in obedient and faithful practice. Everywhere in Ruth God works, unseen, arranging circumstances, giving grace, and bringing blessings. To understand the message of Ruth is to perceive the hand of God at work in our own circumstances.
Author bio:

Returning America to Prosperity by Maniel Returning America to Prosperity by Maniel May 24, 2012 $1.99 67669 words Sample 20%
We are the USA, a great Super Power, but we're drowning in debt, unemployment is high, Republicans and Democrats hate each other, the public hates Congress, etc. Are we doomed to mediocrity? No, we can return to prosperity by investing in ourselves and building our equity. Our country will prosper as we the people prosper and as we reshape our governments to protect our equity.
Author bio:
By training and profession, I am an engineer; my years of engineering experience have taught me that “good intentions” do not determine results. Success in engineering is objective: your bridge will stand, your machine will function, and your computer program will run correctly, only if designed and built in strict adherence to physical laws and principles; emotions generally have little to do with engineering outcomes. Since the discipline of engineering, meeting goals through actions based on proven principles, is lacking in our daily lives, it is no surprise that it is missing from our public policy. Having said all that, I am reminded of a personal ad posted in our school newspaper by a coed who described herself as "dynamic and attractive" and who wanted to meet a "passionate, active young man." The final words in the ad were, "no engineers." We are all well served by humility and a sense of humor.
