Chaldean Numerology - The Chaldeans

Chaldea was an ancient region of Mesopotamia (Iraq) which thrived between (1830-1531 BC). Chaldeans were Ancient mathematicians and astrologers who were originally based in Babylon, a city in Mesopotamia, the birthplace of Western Astrology. Chaldeans were viewed as wise men or soothsayers skilled in occult learning. The Babylonian system of mathematics was hexadecimal (base-60) numeral system. In the modern day terms we can relate this to 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour and 360 (60×6) degrees in a circle.

Chaldean Numerology and Names

In Chaldean Numerology the name gives a more occult or metaphysical analysis. After the name, the birth number the day of the month on which you were born is considered to be the next most important factor. The name used in the Chaldean Numerology analysis system uses only the name people are commonly called by instead of their original name given at birth which is used in Pythagorean Numerology.

Who was Pythagoras?

Pythagoras was a Greek mathematician known as "the father of numbers" who lived in the late 6th century BC. The Pythagorean Theorem is Pythagoras' most famous mathematical contribution. It states that the square of the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle is equal to the sum of the squares of those of the other two other sides. Pythagoras was also famous as an expert on the fate of the immortal soul after death; he believed in reincarnation and was viewed as an expert on religious ritual. He divided people into nine characteristic types, the numbers of which are still used today.
