Position Yourself

There is a divine purpose for your existence. In order for you to walk in it and see it fulfilled, you must begin to position yourself for it today. By no means were you a mistake. Your Creator never makes a mistake. He is flawless. You were created with the intentions of doing something renowned so that God would be glorified, you would be blessed and lives would be touched in a positive way. There is a significant reason why God allowed you to come through the birth canal of your mother. You were created to do great works for the Lord. The tasks that you must fulfill have a designer’s original stamped on it waiting to be disclosed by those in need of your personal touch. Your successful life is not just for you, but it has the potential of making a positive impact also among those who are around you. For this reason and for many others, God continually makes every attempt to guide you to that successful journey that He so eagerly wants you to experience.

You must make a decision whether you want to position yourself for the success that you are destined for. This decision should not be based on how you were raised or the environment that you were raised in. The basis of your decision of wanting to position yourself for success is about wanting something different than a mediocre lifestyle. It’s about wanting more out of life and getting in position to experience it. Success is reachable to anyone that is willing to do what is required to achieve it. By you making every effort on your part to experience success coupled with following God’s leading in all things will put you in position to experience the success you are anticipating for your life.

Let’s go over briefly what positioning yourself for success involves. The word position means a way of being placed or arranged. The definition of success is the achievement of something desired. Keeping these two definitions in mind, everyone should want to do what is necessary for them to be placed or positioned to achieve what they desire in life. Wanting to achieve your goals is the beginning stage of positioning yourself for success. However, wanting to achieve success and achieving it are two different things. The ability to bring yourself to achievement will be determined by the actions that you perform on a daily basis.

Success has so many meanings for different people. What one person considers success may not be success at all for another. Whatever you desire to achieve in your life you have to begin to position yourself for it. Don’t allow yourself to waste time when it pertains to pursuing after your dreams. Time is valuable and can not be replaced. Use your time wisely to get yourself in position for the success you deserve. You know what you want to achieve so go after it.

There are various ways of positioning yourself for success; some you might have mastered already. However, it is my prayer that this book will provide you with a few more nuggets to reinforce what you already know. By no means, am I telling you that if you do the things written in this book that you will become an automatic success. No one is an automatic success unless you’ve come into some type of inheritance and even then you must make efforts to maintain that successful status. The words written in this book are merely intended to motivate you to achieve. It is my prayer that you will use this book as a motivational tool to position yourself for the success you were destined for. I hope that you will be inspired and encouraged to move towards the success that waits for your arrival. It is God’s will that you succeed in all areas of your life. Believe it or not, you were already destined for success. God has already made the provision for your success and is waiting for you to experience it. Look around you. There are so many opportunities available for your reach. However, you are responsible for implementing the part of the plan that you must perform in order to position yourself to receive it. Don’t worry about God, He will do His part. You must make preparation for success today so that when opportunities arise you will be well prepared to partake in them.

Only you know what you need to do in order to position yourself for the success you desire in your life. Take time to evaluate your previous choices because it was those choices that got you where you are today. If you’re not satisfied with where you are today, it is time to reexamine those choices and make some necessary changes for your future steps. You should know by now where you want to be in life and taking a minute to pause to make sure you are on the right track will benefit you in the long run. Also, in your evaluation, take the time to determine what your plan is (vision) for your life and then determine the steps you need to take to see it happen.

Being in the right position, the center of God’s will; is so vitally important because it then synchronizes everything else in your life to fall in place. It’s like a domino effect. Once you make the first move then other opportunities will open up to you.

Review your goals and present them before the Lord. Ask Him is this what He would have you to do and if so, ask Him to give you insight as to what you should do to accomplish those goals. Ask Him to connect you to the right people that will assist you in your success development. Once developed, your gift will make room for you and bring you before great men (Proverb 18:16).

When you know God’s will for your life, it’s best to position yourself to walk according to that plan so that you will partake in the benefits that go along with it. Keep in mind that He will never steer you wrong. He intends for you to succeed.

God wants to lead and guide us daily, so that we can walk according to His plan. It is your obligation to your own success to position yourself to hear His instructions and once heard, the next step is to follow the instructions exactly as they are given. By doing so, it will position you for present and future successes.

There are certain people in the Bible that were positioned for a divine purpose. God strategically arranged for them to be in those positions where they would be most effective. He positioned them in high offices so that not only would they be blessed, but so many other lives would be impacted for the greater good as well. The people I am referring to are Joseph, Esther, Elijah and Elisha.

Joseph experienced many hardships after God revealed to him in two dreams what was destined for his life. Joseph may not have understood the fullness of the dreams at the time they were given, but he recognized that God was showing him future events of his life (Genesis 37, 39-42).
