Introduction
Since you made it this far, you’re at least curious as to the identity of the mystery organization alluded to in the sub-title. Since this isn’t a suspense novel, I’ll come right out with it. It’s the Muslim Brotherhood. If a book about the Muslim Brotherhood doesn’t really float your boat, I urge you to keep reading. If you think some far-off Middle Eastern organization has nothing top do with you, think again. This terrorist organization is dedicated to one thing—jihad—a jihad that’s coming to a town near you.
During a hearing on February 11, 2011, Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, addressed the House Intelligence Committee regarding the Muslim Brotherhood. If you heard it, you were probably as dumbstruck as I was. “The term ‘Muslim Brotherhood,’” he said, “is an umbrella term for a variety of movements, in the case of Egypt, a very heterogeneous group, largely secular, which has eschewed violence and has decried al Qaeda as a perversion of Islam.” The Department of National Intelligence later issued a statement to “clarify” his comments. DNI spokesperson Jamie Smith said, “To clarify Director Clapper's point, in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood makes efforts to work through a political system that has been, under Mubarak’s rule, one that is largely secular in its orientation. He is well aware that the Muslim Brotherhood is not a secular organization.”
How could this happen? How could the man at the top of our National Intelligence Department be so ignorant of the facts? It’s not like the information is hard to find. The CIA’s own website lists the MB as a “religious-based” party. The Brotherhood’s own public writings and proclamations clearly spell out their goals and objectives. Consider its motto:
Allah is our objective.
The Prophet is our leader.
Qur’an is our law.
Jihad is our way.
Dying in the way of Allah is our highest hope.
My purpose in this book is not to reiterate what can easily be found with a simple Google search. Neither is my purpose to relay what you may have heard on the evening news. With this book, I will unmask the real Muslim Brotherhood—the mother of all terrorist organizations, revealing its plans and strategies for overthrowing America and co-opting its leaders. For the past ten years, my focus as an author and blogger has been the Middle East and how events there affect us here in America. Prepare to be surprised, frightened, and angered. Prepare yourself for an eye-opening journey.

ONE
The
Muslim Brotherhood
The Formation of the Muslim Brotherhood
The Muslim Brotherhood began in 1928 when Hassan al-Banna and six workers of the Suez Canal Company got together to discuss the best way to promote traditional Islamic Shariah law, to bring about a revival of what they saw as the best social teaching of Islam, and to bring an end to social injustice and British imperial rule. In addition to becoming a force for change in Egypt, the MB took a leading role in promoting the restoration of the caliphate—a worldwide Islamic leader.
It didn’t take long for the group to become a major political force, playing a prominent role in the Egyptian nationalist movement. It became known as a defender of the disenfranchised classes and a restorer of the links to traditional Islam that modernization had brought to Egyptian society. Over time, however, it became more and more militant, choosing a combination of cunning and force to seize and hold power.
The Muslim Brotherhood Today
The motto as stated in the Introduction still represents essence of the entire organization. While the situation “on the ground” is different from that at its founding, the MB is still dedicated to the spread of Islam, the worldwide establishment of Shariah, and the restoration of the caliphate. Once the caliphate is restored, all the rules will change. One example is what would happen within the so-called “moderate Muslim” community. The majority of the Politically Correct crowd seems to feel that moderate Muslims should be welcomed into the fabric of American life with open arms. Believing that the diversity moderate Muslims bring to society is a good thing, they go out of their way to avoid offending them in any way. Europe is starting to wake up as to how dangerous this approach can be, but America is still fast asleep.
Let’s look at the facts. Should the caliphate be restored and the majority of the world’s Muslims accept that a new Islamic world leader is officially in power, the new caliph will be bound (by Islamic writings and tradition) to declare a worldwide jihad. Moderate Muslims around the world will be forced to choose between their religion and their “nationality.” A recent poll indicated that just under 50% of Muslims living in America already see themselves as Muslims first and Americans second. Once the official jihad begins, moderates must join the “cause” or become certain targets of the radicals who will have marked all “traitors” for death.
Even if the caliphate is not restored, there’s also a psychological factor that is in play even now. Once the moderates see that the “enemy” is caving to the demands of either the radicals or the moderates, they will experience a newfound smell of victory in the air and want to be part of the victorious movement. Consider how you feel when your team has had one losing season after another. Unless you’re a fanatic, you’re not all that interested. However, when your team finally starts winning, everything changes. Suddenly, you become a big fan, breaking out the jerseys and the hats. You start going to the games and cheering them on. You see yourself as part of the team. Their success is your success.
The same thing is already beginning to happen with “moderates” as they see more and more concessions being made. Their mindset starts to change. They start to smell victory. Whereas they were once content with a piece of the American pie, they now see the whole pie as “within reach. They want to be part of the team.
So, what kind of concessions are we talking about? How about the U.S. Justice Department’s recent lawsuit supporting the supposed right of a newly hired Muslim teacher to get three weeks off (with pay) so she could participate in the hajj (religious pilgrimage) to Mecca. The lawsuit was filed in December of 2010 on behalf of Safoorah Khan, a former Middle School teacher who became a teacher in the Berkeley School District (a suburb of Chicago) in 2007. While Muslims are required to make the hajj anytime during their lifetime, she felt she was “entitled” to the time off at that time because she would have to wait 9 years until the hajj fell on a “school break.” Not getting the time off, she resigned. The Justice Department wants her reinstated with back pay, unspecified damages, and an order requiring the school district to adopt a more flexible religious observance policy.
Can you imagine the Justice Department defending a Christian for wanting time off to visit the holy land? It would never happen. What do you expect moderate Muslims to conclude when they see such blatant inequities being imposed in their favor? (Google “Safoorah Khan” to learn more.)
With this background in mind, let’s return to the Muslim Brotherhood today. To get a feel for its true nature, think for a moment about some of the meanest and nastiest dudes in the Middle East. Three names should come to mind: Osama bin Laden, Kalid Sheikh Mohammed, and Yusuf al-Qardawi.
The late Osama bin Laden needs no elaboration. Kalid Sheikh Mohammad, in case you forgot, is the self-proclaimed mastermind behind the 9/11 attacks. He’s the guy Eric Holder wants to try in Federal Court instead of a military commission at Guantánamo Bay. Yusuf al-Qardawi is the 84-year old Egyptian Islamic theologian known for his anti-Semitic (and anti-American) rants from his wheelchair. In January 2009, during a Friday sermon broadcast on Al-Jazeera, he prayed that Allah would kill all the Jews: “Oh Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish, Zionist band of people. Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them. Oh Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one.” He also declared: “Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the [Jews] people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by [Adolf] Hitler.” He has become a media star by virtue of his immensely popular television show, Shariah and Life, on Al-Jazeera television. He recently returned to Cairo to be greeted by huge and rapturous crowds after the end of his fifty-year exile from the country
When he realized that some American analysts were on to him, he recently retreated to develop a new strategy. In my opinion, the result was what is now called the Arab Spring. I believe the evidence shows that everything that happened in the Egyptian uprising was planned by Qardawi and implemented by the Muslim Brotherhood. My point, however, is that all three, Osama bin Laden, Kalid Sheikh Mohammed, and Yusuf al-Qardawi, were members of the Muslim Brotherhood, which is anything but what James Clapper claims it to be.
Then there’s the new leader of the MB in Egypt, Mohammed Badie. In October of 2010, Barry Rubin (director of the Global Research in International Affairs) wrote an article entitled, "Muslim Brotherhood Declares War on America; Will America Notice?" In the blog post, Rubin highlighted a weekly sermon delivered in 2010 by Badie:
"Arab and Muslim regimes are betraying their people by failing to confront the Muslim’s real enemies, not only Israel but also the United States. Waging jihad against both of these infidels is a commandment of Allah that cannot be disregarded. Governments have no right to stop their people from fighting the United States. “They are disregarding Allah's commandment to wage jihad for His sake with [their] money and [their] lives, so that Allah's word will reign supreme” over all non-Muslims."1
Here we have it, right from the horse’s mouth, yet our government and the media are telling us that the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt is a freedom-loving democracy-seeking movement led by students who organized themselves through Facebook and Twitter. If you read further into Badie’s proclamations, you find that the current strategy of the MB in Egypt and the strategy of al-Qaeda are nearly identical. This, too, escapes the notice of the Obama administration. Jihad against America and Israel has been authorized and we’re inviting them to the table to give them a louder and stronger voice. What’s wrong with this picture? Yusuf al-Qardawi is probably the most influential Sunni Muslim in the world and the Obama administration still doesn’t take him seriously.
Look at who has come out on top in every nation where the Arab Spring has exploded—Egypt, Tunisia, Syria, Jordan, the Gulf States, and even in Libya. Clearly, the Muslim Brotherhood has made more gains than any other group or party. Have you noticed that all the nations affected by the revolutions surround Saudi Arabia? The Saudis have pacified the MB to the tune of over a billion dollars to keep the peace, but I think it will soon backfire. It is well known that the Muslim Brotherhood wants to overthrow the Saudi government. It is poised to make it happen when the time is right. Considering all the American interests in Saudi Arabia, you’d think we would be more concerned.
So what about Hamas? It was founded in 1987 as an offshoot of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood. Today, its leaders publically identify themselves as the Palestinian branch of the MB. We all know what a peace-loving group it has proven to be. Then there’s Hezbollah. It is a Shiite Muslim organization headquartered in Lebanon. Its goal is the obliteration of Israel and the establishment of a fundamentalist Islamic state there and beyond. Its connections to Iran are well known, but the MB has extended its reach into Hezbollah. Apparently, their common goals have, to some degree, overcome the traditional Shiite-Sunni rift.
Goal and Strategy
The Muslim Brotherhood has not been shy about revealing its ultimate goal in America. Its stated objective in its by-laws and other documents is to free its members from foreign rule and establish an Islamic state in accordance with Shariah law. If you think this only applies to Egypt, think again. Once a mosque is constructed on American soil, it becomes a symbol that Islam has conquered the region it serves. This is why the Ground Zero Mosque has created so much controversy. Those who understand the significance of the “Cordoba Initiative” have been sounding the alarm, but the PC crowd refuses to listen.
The strategy is as clear as the goal. It has been clearly spelled out for us. They have no need of the sword. It worked for Muhammad, but today, it is unnecessary. The strategy is to use our obsession with tolerance against us. They will take what we give them, then ask for more the next time. It’s their strategy for gaining a seat at the table and for establishing Shariah law in America.
In the Middle East, the story of the camel and the Arab is well known. An Arab was making a long trip across the desert. During the day the heat can be scorching, but at night it can be bitter cold. On one especially cold night, the Arab was in his nice warm tent where some embers kept him warm. As the man began to go to sleep, he noticed a large camel nose sticking under his tent.
“Camel,” he said, “why is your nose in my tent?”
“O Master,” he replied, “it’s so cold out here, and if only my nose were warm, then I could have a good night’s sleep.”
The Arab thought it over and allowed him to keep his nose in the tent. A little later the man awoke and saw that the camel now had his whole head in the tent.
“What are you doing, Camel? You said you only wanted your nose in the tent.”
“O Master, you just do not know how cold it is out here, and if my head is in the tent, then I will be satisfied.”
After thinking it over, the Arab agreed and went back to sleep. Once again he was awakened, this time to find that the camel had his head, neck and two feet in the tent. “Camel, this is too much. You must stop.”
“O Master, now I am really comfortable. I can sleep the whole night through.”
“OK,” said the Arab, “but this is the last time.”
Later in the night the Arab awakened to discover that the tent was now full with the whole body of the camel inside, and the Arab had little room.
“Camel!” he shouted. “What are you doing?”
“Get out of my tent you stupid Arab,” was the camel’s reply.
The camel has had its nose under the American tent for some time. Our Treasury Department has been studying the salient features of Islamic banking to fight the ongoing world economic crisis. At breakneck speed this “change” is bringing in “Islamic banking” as a practice better known as “Shariah-Compliant Finance.”2 With this step, we have not only allowed, but have also invited the whole head to come in and get warm. America had better wake up. We know what the MB and other radicals want, and our government is handing it to them.
