DEDICATIONS

" When you are faced with the possibility of an early death,
it makes you realize that life is worth living,
and that there are lots of things you want to do,"
-Stephen Hawking

This book is Devoted to The person Who saved my life when I was medically Declared Dead for 13 seconds on 26th January 1999 'No matter what you do, in no way you can pay back what you owe to your parents, as they are the reason You ARE, Only if you think deeper'

So, Special Regard to My Parents.

What this Book is About

As said - Live it as You Breathe for Life, your Life will change Forever. In contrast, what I intend to say is the tools that I will provide to you through this book are so powerful, all you need to do is read it with your true heart and believe in yourself. I have divided this book in four parts to make it easier for you to grasp the concept easily and understand the logic that exists in the whole universe.

' Don't Just Read this book, Live It. '

I live by what I have put down into words in this book and it has changed my life completely. It changed the way I looked at circumstances and situations in life and at life as a whole. I have always been a confident, positive and optimistic guy since my school days. My friends knew they could count on me and I knew that some of them were very reliable while others were the type who would run in a flash when trouble comes to you. Yet, did I ever take that as an offence towards me? No; the reason - I was brought up in an environment where we were taught to be humble all the time. From that age I had already realised that it is not the people themselves who behave in that manner, it is the circumstances around them that have caused them to mould into the personalities they are today.

I see it too often and will help you realise it so that you understand what the root cause is for what we are today, the kind of life we live, the kind of habits and behaviours we have. It's all what is fed into our brains, directly or indirectly, consciously or subconsciously, intentionally or un-intentionally, and it all matters.

Read it as you breathe for life every day

Take in the contents as you Eat for Living every day

Drink it as you drink water for dilution of concentrates in your body

So you stay healthy as you look after your body every day

Exercise it to Look after your Future circumstances the same way

Read this book as importantly as you breathe air for life every day, the air as a whole is not what makes the important part of your breath; it is the Oxygen component of it. Ever wondered where that came from? Ever wondered we are not billed for it? Thus, I believe it is time to start showing gratitude towards whomever it may be that created us, and all the rest which was needed for our survival. Be thankful to God, and if you don't believe in God, then I am sure you can be thankful to all those circumstances, those people, those things that appeared out of nowhere at times to help you at some stage in life in some way. I am sure we all can relate to such instances, we just need to think hard and realise.

This Book is an Expression of my Philosophy on life's Factors

My Philosophy as I Call it

THE UNCOMMON COMMONSENSE

So you can start to exercise common-sense.

Firstly, I have written about common sense, which I believe is not very common these days. No matter how hard we go about telling others how something is just common sense, when they don't act on something as we believe they should as a common practice, but they don't understand. And yet, we may be doing the same in our own lives. The only difference is that we do not like telling ourselves that we are not following common sense. Even more tragic is that we are acting in that manner for really important instances.

The second part of this book is to help you understand the concept of life and life in its own essence from another point of view. How the decisions and actions you take or even how you react to certain things can affect how the following moments will unfold in your life. It is like the probability sphere of life.

I call it FPS

FUTURE PROBABILITY SPHERE

Understand who you are, how things work in harmony with the universe. I am presenting to you a powerful tool that will help you understand your inner self and apply the changes one needs to be able to live life the way it's meant to be.

That POWERFUL TOOL is

KARMIC REWIND

In the last part I will focus on

TIME FOR FOUR CHANGES

All we need to be able to achieve something different is to make a change somewhere, somehow. As a result we are sure to see some changes in the physical form. But, that is the biggest challenge we face - how to make a life changing change? I have given my best to help you in finding the changes.

We are living in a trend of Losing Health for Wealth

and then losing wealth for health.

We need to correct this and have our life back

So we can Live it as it was always meant to be.

"Money is the most envied, but the least enjoyed.
Health is the most enjoyed, but the least envied."

Charles Caleb Colton1780-1832, British sportsman writer

I am really grateful and thankful to the master I have followed ever since I was a young child. My life has always been guided by him. It is him, who I respect and admire the most.

I really appreciate my parents and the efforts they have put in to develop me into what I am today, for setting the basics right, for building the foundation in me by which I can stand with humbleness for the rest of my life.

I am deeply thankful to the person who saved me from the troubled waters and revived me to re-live before the ambulances would have had to cope with another dead body. I thank deeply for my whole life to this messenger of God.

My most love and affection to my little daughter Vani, her smiles and cheeky ways, put a smile on our faces every day. I do regret taking time away at times when she wants to play with me. And I love my wife for being the soul mate I had once asked for from God and for all she has done to support me in setting things right for the right way of living life.

Thanks to everyone else and everything else that has contributed towards my learnings in life, including all my teachers from school times till the days of the modern world of computers.

Thanks to all those great people who have helped the world through their valuable quotations. I have acknowledged them in this book, and my quotes in this book mostly do not display my name except in a couple of places only to distinguish from another quote.

Thanks to Neha Kumar, who is studying psychology in University of Canberra, for her help in editing of the book. I acknowledge her time spent on my book even during the exam times of her semester end.

Gratitude: A Must

As mentioned earlier, we don't need to look far to be thankful to someone. We just need to look hard. Just need to see clearly what we have, who we have around us, and how much our life is connected with them, the things we do, the things we have and the most precious - the life we have. We need to learn to appreciate them and show gratitude. My personal story below will help you on that path somehow and you will learn about why I have primarily dedicated this book to the person I have mentioned earlier. The person is unknown till date but he is the one who gets the credit for saving my life and the medium for me being alive today. Also, through this book I hope to find that person.

Back when I was 19, I went to the beach with some. We all had a real nice day having fun, playing in the waters but let me tell you that I did not know swimming then. I know a lot of you may be thinking ow owe.. This is going to be a tragic story! Let me assure you, you are right, but do I have someone to blame? No, just my own lack of knowledge and a bit of ignorance in not realising how dangerous the waters can get. However let me also assure you that I was no risk taker then and was known as a wise and sensible guy. So how could I have done something silly to be able to cause me such harm? So here we go, I was not entirely responsible for this; it was a tiny play up by the almighty nature, making sure a destination set by destiny was reached.

We were playing in the waters and decided to call it a day. We all wanted to go and change clothes but with the amount of bags and other belongings we were carrying; it would have been a hard task to carry along to the change rooms and then to where we had parked. So, a friend and I decided to stay there and keep an eye on the belongings and when the others came back after changing, we would go and change. But something triggered in our mind that while they were gone to have showers and change, my friend and I will just walk into the waters and play with a ball in knee high waters. Do you see any risk in it so far? I didn't, however there were some facts we were not aware of. Facts such as the beach we were at was a surfing beach, so there were no flags for safe area, the fact that the ocean waves can rise really high all of a sudden. We did know that we both don't know real swimming but not that there is a different way of swimming when it comes to rip tides. Now you may have a bit of an idea what I may have gone through that day.

As we were both simply playing catch the ball in fairly safe waters in terms of depth, we were hit by a high wave all of a sudden, and the water came up to our waists, we thought this was ok still but decided that we would start walking out. Just as we were leaving we were hit by another wave, raising the waters' depth to our shoulders unexpectedly. 'Oh dear,' we thought, 'this is going to be dangerous.' My friend started to wave hands for help, I could feel my toes touching the sand and I could manage to keep my face above the surface of the ocean. I thought foolishly in my mind that; 'Don't worry too much' and told the same to my friend while offering my fingertips to him. He seemed a bit behind me but we thought we could try to escape by relying on little jumps we could do on our toes. His face seemed a bit too worried, but I somehow had the feeling that we could manage, only until another wave struck!

This time what chance do you think we had? None, really. With my only skill of swimming, which was that I could float, I decided to float with the wave in hope that it would push me out towards shore, as that's what would happen in most case scenarios with normal waves. Then again, did I know they are not normal waves? Did I know that I am supposed to swim parallel to those waves to be able to escape? No. I surely do know that now and do know better swimming than back then but at that point in time I did not have the skills and knowledge. So, when I started to float with those waves, guess what may have happened. If you know swimming then you may know what I went through. I was rolled in with the rip tide. Out of panic I could feel the water going inside me through the nose and mouth, I was not able to breathe. That horrific feeling which I had at that point in time was not easy to handle, the one and only thing I still remembered at that time was to be thankful to God. 'Why?' You may ask, thinking I wasn't having any amusement in going through that incident! But here is an example of how our brain works. I was born and developed in an environment where we were taught to be thankful to God for each and everything we have in life and what destiny brings to us.

So, at that moment of life, my friends, I realised something, something that was so powerful and so strong which has changed my whole life since then. I realised I was going to DIE! And let me tell you one thing; that was probably the easiest moment in my life at that time. You may be thinking, what is wrong with this guy?! But, why I say this is because, that was one moment in life that I did not have to choose something or decide on something compared to times when I would think in detail before taking any further step. Isn't it easy when you do not have to make a decision? Or so it seemed to me, a 19 year old, in that moment, compare to the decisions of life I was facing.

'I simply knew I was it'

I wonder how many of us have that sort of experience during our lifetime. Probably not many of us. However yes, there are some, but not a vast majority. I am not counting those who may have experienced it while crossing the road via a pedestrian crossing, when a car stopped just seconds away from them. The instant feeling/thought of death may have flashed before their eyes instead of thinking that 'I was almost hit by that car'. Hopefully you now know what I am talking about. Not many of us go through that actual moment. We may think or we may wish at times that we could die, but fellows this is not what life is about!

Life is about Living and giving it your best you can, to get out of it the best you can.

So there I was, about to die, as I was drowning with the waves. So, all I did then was to remember the spiritual master we followed for years. I remembered Him in my mind, visualised his face, and gave thanks to him - thanks for his guidance in life and for helping me realise that there is a supreme power which controls the world in harmony from a higher region, which we as human beings fail to understand miserably. We learned all our life that if we tried to live our life following those principles, we would achieve what is referred to as Salvation of The Soul or Nirvana. So I remembered him and thanked him for everything and said the exact words: 'Thanks master for everything, it seems like all is done, OK then Bye.'

What do you think I meant by those words? I thanked him for everything I had in life and thanked him for my life being ended with contentment under his guidance. We have a famous saying by one of the great mystiques of India, which means 'What you may be thinking or wanting in the last moment of life, there you shall be born again'. This was an important quote that always buzzed in my mind and hence when I got to that moment in Life, this quote was so rigidly impressed in my brain that it automatically came on to the top when I realised that I was going to die. And this probably also tells you about what I want out of life - to achieve Nirvana, but can you do it if you are thinking about only worldly things as we do every day?

Thinking materialistically is going to leave the last moment thought in our brain of something that we wanted or never accomplished in life. We may have to be born into this world again to fulfil those desires. I have lived my life while believing in those teachings from the Mystics. You do not need to wait until you find the truth in those teachings as this can also be taken up as a way of life. And if, you choose to live your life the way you want, you just need to ensure this is helping you in gaining peace and happiness. If you are not achieving that peace and happiness, that means there are things you need to change.

So that is what happened when I went through that tragedy up until that moment of thanking god for everything. The next thing I knew I was lying upside down on the beach, sand all over my body, the blurry view of ambulances in front of my eyes just across the beach on the street side, and the ambulance officers had me on a stretcher and were rushing me towards the ambulance. The first thing I said when regained enough consciousness was 'where is my friend?' Straightaway the ambulance officer addressed my concern by saying, 'Don't worry he is all right and inside the ambulance. I was told later that I was MEDICALLY DEAD FOR 13 SECONDS! Wow! What!? Yes, I was medically dead for 13 seconds and was saved by some great soul who happened to be there as an off duty ambulance officer, as I was told. He had me out of waters and revived me to live the life I am living now.

There were no life guards at that time except this gentleman who saved my life that day, I also call him an angel who had been sent by those higher up in the spiritual regions. The fact that he was seen nowhere nearby after that incident and his resemblance, as explained to me, came close to some sort of holy man, which has made believe in God and his angels even more. Taken from there I was kept in the ICU for 3 days and survived that incident. Many of us may call this to be a horrible incident, but did I? No. Did I then become scared of waters and never go to a beach again? No. I ensured that all those scary thought provokers around me, who discouraged me to never go to the beaches or deep waters again, didn't influence me.

I didn't listen to them. I held on to the way I thought about life and passed over it as just another accident, which was meant to happen, and also because of our own partial knowledge, lack of skills and some information. I hope that this may help you in being grateful in our daily lives, towards the things that we generally take for granted. The love, the affection, the air and water which are part of the absolute essentials in our life and yet, in00 some parts of the world, it is taken so much for granted that we start to waste it. On the other hand we have places where people would walk miles to get some water, people would line up at the corner of their street while a water tank from the local municipal committee comes to deliver water, and it is of no surprise if the water is short of expectations in filling the buckets of all the people. You just need to look at some places in Africa or Asia and some deserts in some Middle Eastern countries.

The food is aplenty in the western world yet there are others who may be struggling to see food on their plates. I often hear stories from different parts of the world where someone has sold their kidneys or certain other part of the body for money to ensure the survival of their family. I recently read a news article in which the UN revealed the shocking news of 30,000 children dying in just one month - July 2011 in whole of Africa. Another painful story in Somalia where there were people dying of drought, they had been walking for days to flee their home towns and reach the camps set up by the United Nations for help. There are people who stay away from home almost every day to earn a salary just enough for their families to survive. They may not get to see each other very often yet their whole life is spent working hard for their family.

We just need to learn more about the people living on earth in its whole self rather than being central to our own demands and needs. As human beings we will never be short of our needs and wants. We just need to learn to be thankful for what we have and learn to live in harmony, peace and contentment. Once you have peace within, you will always be content and you can always achieve what you want.

One day, I went to the theatres to watch the movie Kung-Fu Panda-2 with my three year old daughter. I really liked the way they added the idea of 'Finding the Inner Peace' so the great warrior could achieve the assumed 'impossible'. You can be only at peace when you learn the art of being content, align it with gratitude and you have the recipe for a happy and peaceful life. You can achieve anything with those ingredients whether it is love, happiness, money or the enriched and empowered life of abundance.

Many times in life there will be things with which you may realise you have some peculiar association with. At other times it may just seem a coincidence but by putting some emphasis on those you may find them to be your guiding force. I always had some unconscious repetitions - the repetition of letters M and W, the shape of a star, and people around me with the initials of R and M.

I also want to mention that I had this habit, a bit like the scribbling habit a lot of people have. However, I did not scribble my signature, which is sometimes linked to not having found your true self yet or any other beliefs people may have. Instead, what I always did was make five dots and just repeated that in three different shapes - the letters M and W and a five pointed star. Now I do not know how or from where that had come into my mind.

But I know that these two initials have become very much associated with my life. M has become Mansha - my wife's name, and W has turned out to be the profession I have chosen which made me happy and something I enjoy and love to do - the World Wide Web and Web development. I have been and will continue to put my 200% effort into making them a reality. I am fully determined to make those web businesses a success. Some projects are fully dedicated to serve the humanity for the better. I would encourage signing up on my website www.thekarmicrewind.com so you may know and participate in future programs which will encourage helping each other as a human race.

I am starting out with a community based website, touching on an idea globally, and I am sure we will learn some lessons from that before we launch into more commercialised ideas. It is a plan for my life and I want all of you to have one too. Just as you do not build a house without a house design and plan with an architect, do not build your future without a plan. An unplanned life can take you anywhere spontaneously. But a planned life will take you in the direction of the goals you want to achieve. If you plan well and follow up with true heart, at the very least you won't have regrets. If you do not take charge and do not plan now, at some stage in life you'll be standing in front of the mirror and saying 'I wish I did that'. So, plan today for the life you want to live.

Another association I feel very close with and realised only about 2 months ago was that since I was born I have almost always been associated with the letter R. R is the initial of something which is very close to me in my spiritual life. It has guided me throughout my life. And then when I begin thinking, each and every one closest to me, my family and friends, has their name starting with letter R. And that is each and every family member or friends who are close to myself, my family or friends. My wife's original name has initial R, as it is a general tradition in our culture in which girls have their name informally changed with their wish, to something which her husband may want to call her. That is how we gave her a name beginning with the initial M. It was not intentional and now I realise how that may have come up from the back end of my memory somewhere.

Not just that, there are a lot of people who come and go in our lives, some of them play some important role which affects you and your life in some way. In my life there definitely have been such people and most of them have been people whose names begin with the letter R. Though am I now a superstitious about the names starting with R? No, I am not. Yet it does have some significance in my life, when I think deep and hard enough to realise. You just have to start looking. Even right now where we live, we have very close ties with four families which live nearby and each have one of the couple's name initial as R, and apart from them there are 2 other friends who we see on weekly basis and have their names starting with R as initial. You just have to look sometimes and you will find some amazing facts in your life.

This may help you as an exercise to get you started on thinking a little deeper into your life. Spend some time doing that and see what relevance you may be able to derive from the associations you have around you in your life.

Now, I want to talk about some common sense, or as I call it, 'The Uncommon Common Sense'. There are lots of things in life we do in daily routine that we may not want to do, or we even know we shouldn't do. But do we stop by and make a decision to do the right thing by ourselves? No. So let's read on about the uncommon common sense. This will help you in understanding life as most of us may be living without using common sense. Although we know what it is, it has become uncommon to be used. Hence it has become the 'Uncommon Common Sense'.

*********************

Part-I: The Un-Common Common-Sense

We know we should be caring more for Nature; Yet we do not.

it's just Common Sense

Common Sense in Practice

Old aunts used to come up to me at weddings, poking me in the ribs and cackling, telling me, "You're next."

They stopped after I started doing the same thing to them at funerals.

-Joke from friends - Atam Dhillon

The UN-Common Common Sense

I believe it is not very commonly known to people that common sense is not very common these days. Isn't that true?

Let's just consider this; we all are living a life in the way we don't really want to. If not all, then one must admit that the vast majority of us are. A vastly very common practice but not commonly admitted by our brains, and our heart does know this habit of ours. Just imagine how powerful this is to realise that within our body, there are two parts, which are highly functional all the time. We are highly driven by our emotions, our emotional heart. Our brain listens to all those emotions and performs actions towards fulfilling those desires. It is only common sense to know and see clearly about what we want from our life, decide and follow up with our true heart. Then those emotions will help our brain function towards achieving them. But there is one point we often see where our brain fails to listen to and act accordingly.

What is that point of life, point of decision? Do we all know? Don't we all know? It is the point, the turning point of our life where we need to take a highly motivated step so we can get out of the daily routine we are living in. Change the routine which has kept us living in the same way for years, the routine which has kept us working daily just to meet up our day to day expenses or the routine which has left us in the Slavery of Survival, it is that routine that we have to get rid of. We cannot blame our brain for our brain it is only common sense to keep working the way it is has been for years. Why? Because it has been trained that way. And it is only applying the rules that we have kind of hard coded or etched into it, or trained it to follow.

Another very common practice is that we all want to do something about it. Yet again it is very common that we don't do anything about this.

Another common practice is that we keep pushing things further, the things that would change what we are doing now and move us towards what we want to do, or always wanted to do. In everyday life we know this as procrastination.

How true is that, another common practice which is holding us back from our real potential. Even though we know our lives are not going to change if we don't change anything about these routines. This is common sense really, but is this something we do as a common practice. Hence I say common sense not really common these days - the uncommon common sense.

Thinking the difference

We have all seen us doing regular jobs, working for someone else while they make money. How do you think they are making money, they are making money because we are making money for them. Just imagine this - there is a soul who is running this business, selling some product. Now, just imagine the amount of money you get paid as a worker and you think that is a good amount of earnings for your family to live on, also you are working very hard to prove yourself to be a good worker for that next year pay rise, right?

Next what I want you to imagine is how many people like you work in the same job, multiply your income with that many people and when you add up all that money, just imagine, the person running the show is selling something, making the profit, the profit that is paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in your wages, company and business expenses and still making thousands in their pocket and possibly millions and billions. And we as an employee are all part of generating that profit for them. Just because we are trained at schools to be able to find a better job, but not become someone who can experiment with things, invent or innovate things and create jobs.

What do you think those people leading the show are doing different than those working as employees? Have you ever been in a situation where you saw a senior worker doing something and say, 'I can do this better than him'? So, my point is that you should recognise those skills and abilities which come naturally to you, things you know you can do better. Apply the common sense of taking action to build upon those skills. You, as a worker, are working to provide someone else with huge profits, the difference is - they thought of things differently. This is what I call working for others to realise their dream and not one's own. It's probably okay for those who do not have any dreams in life, but I do not think there is anyone who does not have a dream to realise. So, what did those business pioneers do differently?
