Examined

The infinite cold slimy white walls

The abominable biting chill of the enraged… dastardly winds

Giant hawkish beings giving out orders

Oxygen dwindling

You’re now awakened

You’re now opening your eyes

Seeing

Deducing

Thinking

Concluding

Everyone surrounding you looks the same

A secretive journal is the only thing saving you from the insane

Emotionless

And zombified

From a routine that never stops

Night after night you hear when the facility door locks

Gradually counting the days off to be hopeful

But it’s not enough

There is an ancient brass horn trumpeting tunes of everyone’s sorrow

Proving your creative mind is blocked in this world

Blocked by complicated dark clouds of pure cruelty

And once you return to the familiar old things…

You rummage through a little cardboard box for an old multi-colored scrapbook

Filled with memories of the past

Noticing that face in the photograph

Sayin'

It can't be me…

Camera-Eye

Icy snow flakes float from Earth’s heavenly sky

Winged black creatures of destruction

Masked by the darkness; rule the night

The pirouetting wind screams out your name

You’re alone

Clocks tick tock no more and die

Sundials no longer function

Darkness somewhere chuckles at your fright

Like a Mad Hatter playing a sick game

Toying with you as he cracks his jawbone

His reddened shadow so evil it stabs at your mind

Crooked claws scraping against a wooden door

The noise is a vacuum cleaner

Sucking up all hope

With each step he jitters with joy

Secretive secure shelter you struggle to find

Your feet are cemented to the cold floor

Balding hair ghosts violently dodder

You’d prefer to cross a tightrope

But still Darkness arrives

And plans deploy

Nothing will assist an escape

Closer n’ closer he nears toward your cowering corner

The sight of him ruptures your internal organs

The light bulbs shatter

You’re breathless

You’re nonexistent of this world

Never Found Again

Stumbling up the street.

A nameless man arises.

His pockets empty.

With each step he cries—

Craving for past memories.

His lips dry as sand...

Fog joins the man’s path.

Lampposts flicker, on and off.

Dogs barking tonight.

He finds a brick wall.

He has no clue where to go.

He falls to his knees...

Marooned Witness

Plummeting down a hill

Jagged rocks

As deadly as broken glass

Split the skin

Drip!

Drip!

Drip!

Cherry-colored liquid seeps from my head

Bones shattered from the waist up

Eyes sealed shut

I shout for help

But I forget once again

No human being except me thrives upon this land

The wound

Deep like a valley

I will surely die

In a bottomless pit of mucky water

Crunch!

Crack!

Screech!

My word, what’s that?

Foul garlic circulates the air

Crunch!

Crack!

Screech!

I am immobilized

Something furry grabs my hand

An obsidian creature not of this world

Flashing green beady eyes

And gleaming crescent moon teeth

Carries me off deeper into the unknown

Hero Prophecy

Two deaths in a single year;

so, it is time to face your greatest fear.

Destiny is about to come here.

If accepted, you will lose those whom are near.

Don’t.... and the world’s fate will become all too clear.

Pursuing the Golden Sand

A God n’ Pharaohs’ stone life face

These markings are permanent and never will erase

So many cryptic artifacts to discover

But you wonder,

are these secrets too much for the world to uncover?

The Invention Speaks

My father was an accomplished man

He was the Creator

Constantly thou bragged of my brilliance, for:

I can extinguish a life within a second

I can fabricate a new future just as fast

I see past, what mortals cannot.

I have the power of Kronos.

I am constructed out of tungsten carbide.

Who or what am I?

Well, ladies and gentlemen that truly is for you to decide.

Those Gallant Beings

Mend the tattered fragments of a shriveled

Armored heart

Sketch the flawless plan to ascend the tower

Trample the petals of each...once irradiated flower

Catapult the blocks and scuttle the barricades

Eleven straight days of limitless havoc

Blank stares are buried

Consumed

Unforgotten

In mud

Shattered Potential

Life is like a glass bottle

Fragile

Imperfect

Sometimes full of joy

Sometimes full of emptiness

Either way it will fracture apart in the dumpster

And bend

Exactly how one’s life decision can lead into an unpredictable

Dead end

Snare All Waves

Squeezing the moistureless hand of sorrow

Till the next day; after tomorrow

He surrendered too soon

He just crashed out of time

You know the colossal ocean that poured right onto his soul

Used to be mine

The Abyss of Wounds

Clobber the frigid door with a fist

Launch a cragged rock in the mist

Paddle in the cascading river beyond

Leave that fossilized human bond

For a vision screeches they’re already gone

Inferno

O’ hear the whispers beyond ye graveyard dirt.

Expunge the chunks of coal in thy heart; leave unhurt.

Release the fire dancin’ across thy fingertips.

Speak to the forgotten till time rips.

In the blazing garden you have both cried.

Her last words of love have not died.

She didn’t leave without a memory of you.

All rumors are untrue.

O’ hear the whispers beyond ye graveyard dirt.

Rows of tombs engirt.

Murmur the poetry of her past.

Let these kindled red roses not be the last.
