If you are planning to host a spa party in your home, the following are some of the activities that you can engage in to make your home spa party both relaxing and enjoyable.
1. Aromatherapy Lessons
Invite an aromatherapy expert to give a teach your spa party attendees how they can use essential oils to help them relax. You can also give the talk yourself after reading up on it. In preparation for you party, you can buy a few essential oils or even just one 10 ml bottle of lavender essential oil alone will suffice since all you need are a few drops.
A few aromatherapy tips that you can teach your spa party attendees include:
a) Adding 2 drops of lavender essential oil to a cotton bud and sniffing it for instant relaxation. Alternatively they can simply put the scented cotton ball under their pillows to help them relax and fall asleep.
b) Adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to an essential oil warmer to diffuse relaxing vapors in their living space.
c) Adding a few drops of lavender essential oil to an unscented body lotion to create a calming one.

2. Stress Management Talks
Invite an expert in the stress management field to give your home spa party attendees a few tips on how they can manage stress more effectively. You can also give the talk yourself after reading about it. Simple relaxation techniques that you can teach your spa partygoers include:
a) Abdominal breathing which is a very effective relaxation technique and one of the fastest way to counter the body’s stress response. Therefore schedule a few minutes for all spa party goers to learn how to breathe deeply through their noses until their abdomens rise and then exhale completely and expel tension as it drops.
b) Replacing negative stressful thoughts with positive ones is another technique that can help a person manage stress effectively since negative thoughts can trigger the body’s stress reaction. Therefore urge your spa party attendees to note down all negative thoughts that make them “tense” and then note down positive thoughts that they can meditate on to negate the negative ones.
