Deep
in the forest, far off the winding path, was a very special tree.
In fact, it was magnificent.
During
springtime, some fairies moved into this tree, and they spent the
summer preparing their new home for a long winter.

As autumn approached, they noticed there was just one thing wrong -- all the other forest trees' leaves had turned bright oranges, reds and yellows. The fairies' tree, on the other hand, was as green as green could be.
Of course, the fairies wanted their home to look just as bright and colorful as the others. The head of all the fairies, Timpke, called a meeting.
Timpke stood in front of the group on an old wooden step and bellowed:
"As
you can all see, our tree is not as bright and colorful as the others
in the forest. Obviously, this just won't do. We need to fix it. Does
anyone know what to do?"
