Foreword
In the beginning was the word. Before facts and things, before consciousness and spears, before crossword puzzles and diets and inflatable toys, before Lego and pay as you go, before maps and schooners, flint axes and lies, grapefruit facemasks and silent nights alone with the radio, before bosons and campari and logical positivism and Google and Eisenstein and Einstein and all the others. In the beginning was the word, like wraps of fire coiled through the firmament. So out there and glorious. For those that hear its unerring whisper, read on…
2
Two
My hearts racing temples thumping,
Green fairies turning scary,
Cruelty of a female
Yours truly un-well,
Stepping stones are indisputably slippy,
Smile or frown rags or a crown,
Free as a bird an emblem I wear,
Lets all talk monologue till we die,
Heart of my own may I ransom mine?
You’re in everyone remove your mask,
Leave such a rush of gold,
Jump to fate share blood too sees a marvel
La, la, la, la, la, la,
Bee da boo boo,
Tamed souls,
Timed mouse,
Stay like a Polaroid,
Please please I’m desperate,
You’re doing it,
Stay, pure, understandable I
Comprehend just a happy speed,
Seedless strawberry heart,
Remove my cork let me gasp,
Spell of chills, shivers a gift,
Port arms he’s coming.
A tear for her majesty
You’re my girl,
A divine being,
My perfect queen,
You make me want to eat,
Your water,
Kill rebel,
A cap my hours,
A realising in your wit,
A dark eyed singing chef,
I’d make it all for you,
Reason, point,
Who needs it?
It just is,
Your aesthete,
A sheep in wolves clothing,
Mouth cancer tastes good,
Although it has many similarities to chewing on a spider,
Alright where were we!
The most honest liar,
I tried to buy a promotion leaflet,
And proceeding to do so told they were free,
They put me in a large cement bath of icy water,
Dunked and drank,
Everyone was smiling,
I guess that makes me public property now.
As in
Fashionable none fashionable clothes,
Living like rock stars with no talent,
It’s all old news man,
Escapism from yourself,
Irony, so easy to give,
Harder maybe to take,
So many cuddles and kisses to compensate for lack of attention they will say,
Don’t believe them they have a singsong with your pal on a rock candy wall
With flat caps and budgie trousers,
I saddle a mirror and use it plenty to see what skies behind,
My halo never sits straight it’s a mess,
Whoever accompanies me that day is on a guilt trip to mend it and pass + turn
The other face value,
Passion I adore without befriending,
Adoring perhaps to your love a rare magical 1 in a million breed,
Owning a sinecure is holding hands on a warm day tense whilst trees cool you from warm good smelling breezes, explain,
Tense symmetry bawls appealing to souls.
Whilst tearing pages from gods that never survived.
You pretentious fuckers in your terraced lives,
Living in apple from Adams bite,
Why are Newspapers so new to me?
When I’ve foe seen the tides
Way to cave of depth upon
Your fair maiden’s brow of absurdity,
From heavens cast offs in the mounts of sand fallen
From downwards spiral aiming to hearts of joy and
Sadness in one scoop of permanent glory,
And I ask why you still persist for an answer
To the question of all.
Why am I still here?!
Beat
Maybe beat it,
Most certainly maybe beat me,
Maybe a street leading by your feet.
I thought beat meant deadbeat.
A crappy deadbeat,
Shortened to beat,
He’s a deadbeat.
He’s so beat,
A KrAzY KaT,
Hip digged cat.
So strung out,
Such a refugee,
An amazingly gentlemanly gentleman,
A charming old dear.
That’s beat?
Charms
Why is this infliction of noise still upon my ears?
No way to shake such a burden,
But easy to create the irony of this task,
Moans from side to next are happy
To answer if you will listen,
I understand now the feeling
From your legs you have urged
To stay for another,
For simple Sympathy from the black hearted diabolic being.
Clay straw
The birds fly high through the diamond stared sky,
The little kid drank my tip top, yip yop,
With a straw made from clay.
His friend is an intellectual bad boy who lives with the girl next door,
With his free spirit and her soulful eyes they found nirvana,
He sings songs for six-pence on park benches to tourists, who laugh and carry on,
He doesn’t believe in motor vehicles, he once walked from Greece to London
Then lost his voice for two weeks but still strummed in the park, but only got a 9 bob note, sometimes she dances barefoot with her tambourine in the evening time sun on her brow, the boy’s seem to like her, but he ain’t a jealous guy he’s got things on his mind, once he told me they kissed and he tripped for 3 days, “she burned me man” he said, “So now we just touch noses and hold hands, its safer that way”.
Yeah he’s so charming, he’s a dream, he made me these beads can you see them, no, yeah he said that to, “Said what to?” That only I could see them, I thought he was messing but I guess he wasn’t, see you’re the first person I’ve ever spoken to, actually come to mention it, I’ve never spoken till this day, see, I was a mute since birth.
