Dedication

I dedicate this book to The Spirit of The Holy Trinity, and to all who share their light. To my spirit guides who saved my life many times in many ways. They light my path to show me a better and truer way of life. Also, to my second best friend Miriam, the most loving wife a man could ever be blessed with. Also to all the wonderful friends and acquaintances that I’ve met along the path. That even goes for those who shunned me. In truth, they taught me some of the most important lessons of all. I wish I could tell you my readers, about all of my wonderful experiences and travels over the years.

Much of this time was spent serving humanity and finding my inner spirit child. I wish you could see through my eyes, all the miracles I have witnessed. When you walk and work in spirit, there is no time, only consciousness and spiritual perception. There is no obstacle to big, or small that spirit can not handled. I know this to be a fact, for I am living proof of the transforming, life saving powers of universal law. “The only peace we will ever hope to know must come from within, for that is where life truly manifests.”

Angelo Distefano

To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to reap, and a time to sow; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

SYMBOLISM

The Spiritual Alphabe

About the Cover

The cover contains some of the oldest and most common symbolism known to humanity. Some of these symbols date back thousands of years. I am sure the new age consciousness will reveal many new symbols, with far greater spiritual values. To the spiritually minded, symbols provide the road map to higher consciousness. Many symbols are linked to other symbols. Example: Aries, Pluto and the number are energies that are linked together.

THE SPIRITUAL ALPHABET

Spiritual symbolism is illuminating knowledge that is universal. It can be used and applied in every avenue of life. A proper use of this art enhances the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. Symbols can contain hidden secrets, or messages of the ages. The nature and evolvement of humanities past and future are hidden in symbolic messages. They are often recorded in the subconscious mind. Mathematics, or numerology, is said by some to be the only exact science. Everything in the universe can be broken down into numbers. Numbers provide an exactness that is capable of scientific proof, for numbers can be validated more easily.

With all the new electronic technology, the value of numbers has been magnified a thousand-fold. In this new Age of Aquarius, humanity is evolving at a rate that is almost incomprehensible. The amount of truth and information that is being revealed to humanity is directly affecting our intelligence, No factor can enhance human evolution more. This new information is re-defining our previous assumptions concerning science, religion and philosophy. This is what the new age is all about; this is the age of intelligence.

The nature of intelligence is to rapidly improve the conscious mind, thus bringing about a more rapid state of evolution. By the way, electricity is an Aquarius element. It is also responsible for the rapid transforming changes that are transpiring today. Symbols are a large part of our daily life we often take for granted.

Let’s take the American flag for example. Within the flag are 50 five-pointed stars, one for each state in the union. The five pointed star, or pentacle as it is called in the occult world is also called the star of the magi. When it is pointed upward, it wards off negative vibrations. This symbol is also a co-symbol of the Christ spirit. The five-pointed star is a configuration of man standing upright. Our forefathers knew this and used this symbol to add protection and prosperity to each state. When the pentacle is inverted downward however, it is the symbol of the anti-Christ or fallen man.

There are three colors in the American flag: red for will and power, blue for love and compassion and white for illumination and wisdom. Our forefathers knew these three powers to be the essence of God, or the Holy Trinity. The Eagle is our national symbol. It symbolizes will, power and strength. Take the circle for instance. It symbolizes perfection and eternity, The Alpha and Omega. There are literally thousands of symbols we are totally unaware of. Those representing spiritual value are the most important of all. Among the oldest of spiritual symbols are the tarot cards, numerology, astrological symbols, the Kabala and the Bible.

These are but a few of the metaphysical messages left behind by the ancients. Another example is the Star of David, or the Seal of Solomon. This is the symbol of the Israeli people. It too is a configuration of the Trinity, it consist of two triangles connected in perfect balance. The triangle pointed downward symbolizes spirit of the Trinity descending. The triangle pointed upward is spirit of the Creator returning to its source.

Symbolism is woven throughout the Bible and all forms of spiritual communications that existed throughout the ages. Now that our consciousness is elevated, their real meanings can be reveled to the masses.

Example: when Jesus said “(In the age of man) you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free,” see John 8:32. He must have been referring to the present Age of Aquarius. This sun sign is symbolized as a human pouring out the new waters for humanity. This is the present age of consciousness we are now experiencing. Through symbolism, we can clearly see where we have been, where we are and where we are going. The fish was the symbol of the previous Piscean Age and the birth of The Christ consciousness. The word Jesus means fishes, this indicated He was to be the Master of the Pisces age. In the Old Testament of Abraham, the Biblical symbol was the Ram, representing the Aries Age; this was an age of fire. When Abraham was saved from sacrificing his son by the angels, there was a ram trapped at the foot of the altar. During the time of Moses, the people were worshiping a golden calf, indicating the Taurus age. Almost everything in the Bible pertains to symbolism.

When we meditate on certain symbols, we open channels of energy within our subconscious mind and spiritual chakras. Each symbol stands for a certain phase of human existence or consciousness. When we concentrate on spiritual symbols, always pray for the positive, evolving, expansive qualities of that symbol and that it manifests within our spiritual consciousness. Never, ever worship a symbol of idol. Instead, recognize the mastermind, or creative spirit that manifested its true meaning. Symbols are not meant for worship. They should be used to guide us on the path to

They point the way for those earnestly searching with an open heart and mind, those searching to find their way back to the spirit of The Logos, or eternal spirit of God. Some symbols were recorded thousands of years ago and have always been indicators of humanities many previous life cycles. It is said the ancients used one symbol to define thousands of meanings. When we study symbols, we should try to overlook the superficial materialistic meaning of that symbol. Instead, try to find the deeper spiritual root and meaning from whence it, the symbol, was born.

The true value of symbolism and the symbolist is the conscious awareness of spiritual manifestation and the nature of that spiritual energy. Many symbols are not graphic. For instance, color is a symbol, and rhythmic music is a symbol as well. Many symbols and signs witnessed by the spiritualist are signs that can only be seen with the spiritual eye. There are thousands of valuable symbols and signs we may not take the time to silently see. It is only in silence, do we see the unseen.

Many occult symbols were kept secret throughout the ages. Only the elite few were allowed to see and comprehend their true meaning. In the past symbolic knowledge could be extremely hazardous to your life. Anyone possessing occult knowledge was considered a serious threat to the church and government. Many a spiritual person lost their life to carry the symbolic messages we have the privilege to know today. There are many symbols designed for everyday life, there are road symbols for driving and there are symbols that warn of danger.

Symbolism & The Tarot

Let me start by saying I do not believe in fortune telling. It is our opinion the only proper use of the Tarot is for symbolic study and spiritual development. We only use the Tarot cards for this purpose, because when they are shuffled and laid out, they can allow negative spirits to manifest ill thoughts in the mind. The conscious awareness that stems from the Tarot cards can leave a powerful and lasting impact on the subconscious mind. These symbols are some of the oldest and most revealing recordings of humanity. The origin of the Tarot is uncertain, introduced to Europe as early as 1095 AD and became very popular in Italy in the 14th Century. Like many spiritual messages of the past the spiritual values of the Tarot is only being realized today.

The consciousness of humanity is able to comprehend the deeper spiritual meanings of the Tarot. Holistic thinking has influenced the attitudes about the Tarot and recognizing it as a valid tool for spiritual growth. Knowledge gained from these symbolic pictographs helps those on the spiritual path to find power, guidance and illumination. The Tarot card symbols can awaken a consciousness that has been latent or dormant within the subconscious throughout the ages. We will present this chapter on the tarot cards as astrologers, symbolist and practicing metaphysicians in search of Christ consciousness.

In the previous age of Pisces, the relevance towards spiritual growth was only recognized by those brave souls who were fearless enough to walk the dangerous path of truth.

As parables and stories are used to relay messages, so were the pictures and symbols in the Tarot used to communicate spiritual messages. The wide spread popularity around the world of the Tarot cards can mainly be associated to the roamers, or gypsies who used them to communicate with each other. It was far too perilous to even speak about spiritual beliefs, so they used the pictures of the cards to communicate spiritual messages.

These people passed themselves off as gypsies and fortunetellers and the cards were thought of as a game. In fact, I believe they were the origin of our modern-day playing cards. The symbols were looked upon as having mystical meanings and were thus used to tell peoples fortunes. As symbolists, we should study each card and search the metaphysical meaning of the associated symbols. Always remember, Love is everywhere present, and love overcomes all obstacles. We have said it about astrology and we are saying it now, “Knowledge carries responsibility.” Seek first the enlightenment of spiritual guidance within and the Holy Spirit will make all things known and clear to you.

The pictographs in the following cards are from the Trinity Pack created by Angelo Distefano. Now that the Aquarian Age is fully upon us, we find that symbolism depicting the previous ages must be updated to reflect the new Aquarian age of enlightenment and spiritual reality. Within the Trinity Pack are many new symbols. Although some of the cards resemble the Ryder Pack, the symbology contained within them gives a much different meaning on the spiritual level of consciousness. As we examine each of the cards, we can easily associate them to different periods and states of evolutionary consciousness.

We can also associate the Tarot to astrology, numerology and Biblical symbolism. We hope the symbolism contained within the Trinity Pack will unlock some of the many hidden secrets of the past. A full tarot deck consists of 78 cards: the major arcana (22 pictorial symbol cards) and the minor arcana (56 suit cards). Although the symbology greatly varies from many different tarot decks that have emerged in modern day, we feel the powers of creation and the forces of nature are depicted in the 22 cards of the major arcana, therefore we are only analyzing cards from the major arcana. I feel these cards reveal the true order of the life force as it transcends from spirit to mind and then to matter. We have created cards that bear qualities of the Trinity and the influences of the zodiac signs, as they are revealed to humanity through the forces of nature.

The first three cards represent the Trinity of Power, Wisdom, and Love. They are The Emperor, The High Priestess and The Magician. They define the true spiritual aspects of originality and creativity. Placed below is The Empress and The Fool card thus creating the spiritual crucifix. When we place this crucifix over the circle of the zodiac, we see the orb of power held by the Emperor. The orb of power symbolizes the true order of creation as it transcends to Earth, from spirit to mind and then to matter. The most interesting thing to observe is the duality of every card except the Emperor. He alone is single in nature, the “I Am” and the original thought of all creation. The Tarot symbols leave some of the most revealing and lasting impressions on the conscious and subconscious mind.

When we use them as a gift of universal love, the energy they provide offers much clarity and inspiration to a physical world of illusion and change. People who use the Tarot as a game and fail to recognize the spiritual importance and power symbolized throughout the Tarot may find the cards misleading and even frightening to the subconscious mind. The symbology of the major arcana should always be approached with an open and respectful mind. Be aware of casting your fate to the wind, for the wind that is blowing when the cards are read just might not be friendly. Planetary aspects may be squaring, or possibly negative energy coming from the Tarot card reader.

God speaks to us with symbols daily, but seldom do we listen. The problem may be, we don’t slow down long enough to experience the spiritual aspects of life. The western world is mainly responsible for this. As long as humanity looks outwardly to the material world for answers, they will be blinded and misled. All lasting truth and power exist within the soul. This was one of the main messages related to us by all the masterminds of the previous ages. The air we breathe is the Spirit, the Sun is the fire of our soul, water moves within us to determine what we feel and the flesh that surrounds us is connected to the Earth; this is the true reality. The hands of the great cosmic clock have come together once more to raise the conscious levels of humanity around the world. Hopefully the symbolism contained within the Trinity Tarot pack will help us to find a truer and more spiritual way of life. As we said before these cards are not a game and should never be used as such.

The symbology of the tarot keys represents universal structures and the creative energies, which are: spirit, mind, feelings and matter. Or Fire, Earth, Air and Water. These four elements are displayed throughout the Tarot. These four elements encompass anything and everything on our planet. These energies are known as the forces of nature. Every single thing, or person was created from these elements. In my opinion, only a study of the teachings of Jesus, ”The Christed One “ can reveal more about the true origin of humanity. Symbolism is the language that helps us to keep these four energies in their true perspective. They remind us of our connection with the Universal LOGOS and the life giving energies we received from the Creator, the one and only “I AM.”

KEY # 1

THE EMPEROR THE LORD OF MIGHT

The Emperor signifies the Father principle, except here it is the Universal Father. From this source comes original thought, therefore everything in our universe originates from this energy. The #1 in the card is most significant, for there is only one God: The I Am. The Universal Father God is the origin of all creation and power. He holds the orb of power in his left hand. The orb, or globe of dominion, indicates total power to create or destroy. The globe, or circle also represents the circle of the Zodiac. Above the orb is the uneven cross of creation; this signifies absolute power over all the material Earth and universe. Together this symbol represents the spiritual crucifix described in the introduction.

His crown bears the emblem of Aries, a symbol of two crescent moons combined signifying the eternal flow of dual regenerating energies. This card symbolizes the supreme monarch of the universe. He is automatically associated with all the other cards, for it is through the power of the Father that all things on Earth and heaven are created. If I picked one element to directly associate with this card, it would be the planet Pluto because of its regenerating powers. His right hand firmly holds the Crux Ansata, the ancient Egyptian cross of life. The circle at the top of the cross signifies the eternal life force, the super-conscious, the Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end). The cross below signifies the life force as it descends into matter and then returns to its origin.

Behind Him are the angels of power and love. We see the Angelic host of the Trinity represented by the 24 tongues of fire, or spirits surrounding the circle of eternity within the sun burst. The inverted triangle within the Sun burst is a symbol of the eternal stream of active cosmic energy flowing out into the universe. Above his head, we see the sacred circle of the Sun. Within the circle is an inverted triangle and the solar cross, indicating the descent of spirit into matter. This card is The Father aspect of The Holy Trinity.

When combined with the forces of illumination, or The Mother God and Universal Love; The Son, they constitute the triangle of the Supreme Being we call God. He bears the symbols of the elements of creation. They are fire (the wand, associated with creative power), water (the cup, subconscious emotions or movement), the sword (air and the Spirit flow, the principles of mind intelligence) and the pentacle or star (material manifestation). As we see these symbols in the Trinity, we know the balance of God alone truly creates. The rams’ heads on the throne are the symbol of will and power.

Before our savior and mediator Jesus, humanity had to deal with the power of God directly. When you see this card, think absolute power and creation. Thank God for his Son of love and compassion, for through Him we know universal power, intelligence and love. Seek the power of this symbolic message for strength, courage, originality, protection, creative ability and power to overcome impossible situations.

The power of God protects you.”

KEY # 2

THE HIGH PRIESTESS THE LORD OF LIGHT

This key represents all that is eternal wisdom. It signifies eternal knowledge and universal wisdom. “And God breathed upon the Earth and said, let there be Light.” It was the Universal Mother He referred to as light. She is the spiritual wisdom of the Holy Trinity. She commands the dual mental energies of positive and negative. Her foot rests above a crescent Moon, signifying she is above all emotion, sensation and physical temptation. The serpent formed in a circle around the conscious Earth, represents eternal knowledge. She is clothed in a robe of radiant white light, signifying purity and radiant illumination.

In her left hand, she holds the sacred TORA, or Book of Life. Within the book is recorded every action and reaction since the beginning of all time. You could easily say she knows all that ever was or will be. The Star of David above her head signifies perfect balance and spirit flow “as above so below.” It also represents the spirit of God returning to its source.

The dove within the circle of eternity is the symbol of The Holy Spirit descending with the light of truth and spiritual freedom. On her chest, the symbol of solar or even cross, signifying the crossing of the positive and negative energies of the universal life force. It also represents the male/female aspects in perfect balance. On her crown there are two crescent Moons, which signifies her receptiveness to the duel creative energies.

The circle in the center of her crown is that of the eternal super-conscious. The cosmic luminscate within the circle indicates perfect balance and harmony of universal energies. Beside her are two columns: a white one for the positive life forces; the letter J on the column stands for Jesus. The black column stands for negativity and the forces of darkness; the B represents Beelzebub. Two is a very significant number, for when one, or The Father, became two, or The Mother, the duality of universe was born. It was then that The Son of God marked the birth of the Trinity. Everything about this card indicates illumination, wisdom, and spiritual duality.

The angels in the background are the messengers of light, they are the spirit of God that brings wisdom and elevated consciousness. The white veil behind Her throne signifies purity and virginity. It is embroidered with palms (the male), and pomegranates (the female). When you pray for guidance, pray to the Mother God of light, and all will be made illuminated and clear. Where light exists, darkness cannot enter. She holds the keys of enlightenment. Seek the powers of this card for intelligence, direction, guidance, comfort, creativity, mental nourishment, liberation and pure spiritual expression.

The Light of God surrounds you.”

KEY # 3

THE MAGICIAN THE LORD OF LOVE

The third card, the Magician, represents the quality that all humanity hopes to achieve someday. This is the card representing The Divine Son Jesus and all the masterminds of the human race. Jesus once said, “Where I am, you too shall be.” He means that all humanity will eventually find the light of Christ, and will become conscious of the concept of eternal life and universal brotherhood. Until this inner light is found and realized, ours is the agony of waiting. This card is most significant to humanity, for it represents the concept of the birth of Christ and the foundation of spiritual love that is the Holy Trinity.

The Magician is truly the card of the Divine Son of the Holy Trinity. The unity of this triangle is perfect, and possesses complete creative Power, Wisdom, and Love, “on Earth as it is in Heaven.” He stands in a beautiful garden that we once knew as Eden or paradise. The Magician is dressed in pure white with a scarlet red and royal blue robe, symbols of power (red), wisdom (white), and love (blue). Around His waist is a serpent devouring it’s tail, this symbolizes eternal wisdom. Within the circle on his chest is a cosmic luminscate. This represents the cosmic order of spiritual energies. There are two triangles pointing up and down, symbolizing authority of the Holy Trinity. Atop his head is a cosmic luminscate, symbol of spiritual attainment and universal order.

He stands in power, yet in peaceful love. He is the spiritual communicator and our link with the Great Christic Brotherhood. He is the Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world. In His right hand, He holds the wand of power and possesses the unlimited creative powers of the Trinity. With his left hand he generates power and directs power to the Empress equals feminine aspect of The Trinity.

And so, it is through love that all things of eternal creation exist. On the table next to Him, we see the familiar symbols of the four elements; they are the tools, which He creates. The wand represents fire, or the life force of the soul. The sword represents air, or the element of the mind. The cup is water equals the feelings of humanity, and the pentacle, the physical earth or material body.

Above His head, we see a circle of twenty-four stars. This represents His dominion over the twenty-four angelic spirits. At His feet are snow-white lilies, symbolizing purity and abstract thought. These are also known as Easter lilies; Christ rose from the dead on Easter. The red roses of desire are intertwined with the lilies. Before anything can be created, or materialized on Earth, we must have spiritual desire to make changes that will set our feet on the path of spiritual enlightenment. If we have the faith of a mustard seed, we can move mountains. Above His head is a cluster of olive branches, symbol of love and harmony. When the holy ones were anointed, olive oil was used to anoint their heads to cleanse them from negative thoughts and purify their spirit. When you see this card think universal love, mercy, compassion, forgiveness, inner strength, lasting joy, peace, harmony and spiritual insight.

The Love of God enfolds you.”

KEY # 4

THE EMPRESS THE FORCE OF NATURE

The fourth card is the Empress. This card represents attainment and the first stage of descending spirit that is the Trinity of Power, Wisdom and Love. The wand with the globe atop signifies that she possesses and represents the power of eternal spirit and is a co-creator of the Trinity. The crown she wears has 12 stars, one for each sign of the zodiac, signifying she possesses wisdom and dominion over all creations of the Earth and the universe. The garden before Her is filled with the abundant fruits of life. Around Her neck are seven precious stones, signifying that she has dominion over the Seven Spirits of Life.

The heart shaped shield with the symbol of the dove on it is a symbol of spiritual love, compassion and perfect mental manifestation. The circle is that of the super-conscious spirit and the cross within it is the solar cross, or symbol of Earth. The cross also represents the life forces of positive (male) and the inverted line is the receptive life force (female), as they are united in love and balance. This card is also associated with the High Priestess and the Earth Mother Justice. The Mother is multiplied by the Father and gives birth to the Son. Henceforth, the Trinity becomes eternal and abundant.

The Empress represents the Spirit of Multiplication. As the seeds, or thoughts of the subconscious are related to humanity and they become materialized.

Thus, we know the order of all creation is from spirit to mind and then to matter. Therefore, the Empress is the mental mediator of the spiritual three. It is through Her that we receive the spirit of new thought and consciousness. She is the directing spirit of messages delivered by the Fool. Meditate on the spiritual qualities of this card for creative power. In Her left hand, she holds the wand of balanced authority. She controls the level of conscious and subconscious thought humanity possesses in the future. She is the mother of abundance and controls all seasons on Earth.

This card is the higher octave of the Justice card. The eagle in the background signifies that she creates with power and strength. Above Her head is the eternal circle of the Sun, giver of life. Within the circle is the cosmic luminscate indicating universal consciousness and perfect balance. The six-pointed star is the symbol of duel energies flowing back to the source where they originally started their decent. When you see this card think creative power, perfect balance, wisdom, abundance, fulfillment, reproduction, love and joy.

Wherever “I am” God is and all is well.

KEY # 0

THE FOOL THE SPIRITUAL MESSENGER

Key #0 is the card of the wise transforming messenger. A youthful person who is beginning in life looks to the heavens for spiritual guidance. He stands poised at the cliffs edge of the mountain of spiritual attainment. He is one step from leaving the mountain and descending to the rocks of hard facts and the material world below. In his right hand, He holds the rod, or the staff of creative power. With it, he will stir the spiritual imagination of the human soul. At the top of the staff are two serpents intertwined, representing the crossing of the duel energies of the universal life force. They are rising to the wings of spirit, or have attained higher consciousness. The wings are above the circle of eternity. This signifies that he goes with the light of the super conscious. Attached to the rod is a bag, and on the bag is the Seeing Eye of God.

Below it is a picture of an eagle: symbol of elevation, freedom, and higher consciousness. He goes with the power of the Trinity and the Empress. Inside the bag are the 12 energies of life, or elements of the zodiac signs. A bright Sun is above him, signifying that He sees clearly what is before him. The inverted triangle indicates the powers of the spirit are about to descend into matter. Above his head is the six pointed star symbol of perfect balance. There is also a pure white dove above his head. This represents The Eternal Holy Spirit and never ending cycle of life. The knowledge He will use in the material world is given to him by the Empress and the Holy Trinity.

The energy of these cards is vital to the human race, for it brings hope and enlightenment. These two energies are vital to our progressive evolution. In his left hand, He holds the white rose of spiritual desire, indicating that He has a spiritual purpose for taking this journey into the material world. On His head, He wears a wreath of olive branches, signifying His powers stem from peace and love. In his crown is a red feather, suggesting beauty and peace created through determination, desire and will.

Upon His clothing are the symbols of the zodiac signs and the four elements of Fire, Water, Air, and Earth indicating influence over the elements and ability to create and influence. A small dog, symbol of the five physical senses, is gnawing at his ankle; a reminder that He will be tested on his physical journey. The old saying, “Look before you leap,” comes to mind when I see this card.

When you meditate on this card, think spiritual messenger, self-sacrifice, spiritual desire, mental ability, intuition, elevation, spiritual-material manifestation and the purity of original thought.

Within the next twelve Tarot cards, we will be discussing the twelve cards of humanity, or the twelve powers of the zodiac. When they form a circle and are placed under the spiritual crucifix, they represent the orb of power held by the Emperor or Father God.

KEY # 19

THE SUN

Solar Sign Aries

The first key is the Sun card. It denotes original ideas, will power and new beginnings. A huge brilliant Sun shines down on two naked children, signifying the renewal and reproduction of the life cycle on Earth and in the solar system. The Sun is a symbol of the earth father and male regeneration. Since Aries is considered the infant sign of the zodiac, we see the resemblance of the sun card to Aries. This is a card of masculine gender and could be associated with the Father God and the planet Pluto. This energy cycle is the start of the new solar year. It also marks the season of spring or Easter. It suggests in the Bible, that this time or cycle was the time Christ emerged from the dead.

You could say this card represents resurrecting and renewing powers. The Sun links this card to fire and creativity that manifest within the soul. Six tongues of flame, or spirit appear on the boy’s side and six on the girl’s side, signifying the twelve spirits of energy as they flow and descend to matter, or the twelve spiritual signs of the zodiac. There are six masculine and six feminine zodiac signs. Four sunflowers in full bloom face the children instead of the sun, signifying a reversal in conscious thought. The sunflower is a co-symbol of solar energy. They are also symbols of spiritual development and are related to the four elements of creation and the four seasons. A wall, symbolizing the veil of God, separates the children from the harsh reality and illusions of the material world.

Their world, or consciousness exists within the realm of the cultivated garden, representing the balance of creations and manifestations of humanity through the four elements of life. As Jesus said, “Ye must be as a child to enter the kingdom of heaven.” We must possess the innocence and open-mindedness of the child to contact and co-create with the higher forces of Spirit.

The children stand within two circles, one foot in each circle. The outer circle represents the conscious senses and the other the subconscious mind, signifying the need for balance within both minds. Only through the combination and blending of the two do we grow spiritually. The two children are holding hands, ensuring unity of the two life forces. The nakedness of the children suggests they retain their innocence and connection to nature.

This is truly a beautiful card for it reminds us of the child within each of us, as well as the innocence we know without material disruption. The Sun card is a reminder of where we have been and offers hope to where we are going. The symbolism of this card is also a reminder that we are all children of the universal Father-Mother God. When we see this card, we should remember to have some fun and remember to think as a child. This Tarot card is especially related to the first seven years of human life. These are the times when we are truly free and innocent. The times we are closest to our heavenly father.

When you see this card, think renewal, innocence, regeneration, will power, joy, active energy, new ideas and procreation.

KEY # 16

THE TOWER

Solar Sign Taurus

The Tower key is associated with the fixed solar sign Taurus. The key words for this sign are “I Have,” a sure sign of a materialistic nature. The Tower is built from the bricks of traditional thought and leaves little room for new progressive thought, or for spirit to enter. Therefore, the old is destroyed and the new transmutes that which is already dead. The human body could be considered a temple that contains spirit. We must always remember each soul is at a different level of consciousness. The Tower is portrayed at nighttime, indicating the negative, receptive forces of the Moon are at work. This is a card of self-undoing and reinstatement of the higher attributes of spiritual development through mental-physical labor. As we realize the illusion of matter, we place more value on mental and spiritual development. The symbolism of this card clearly shows what a life composed of materialistic ideals can do.

When we build our own world without spiritual guidance, it can be a narrow and hurtful experience. Whatever is of the world is only temporary. As the master Jesus once said, be not of the world in the last days, He also said it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a materialistic person to enter the kingdom of the soul. The hand of power directs a destructive lightning bolt to the temple of matter. The lightning bolt is very significant in this card. It stands for sudden illumination, and destroys all that is not of God in one sudden flash.

The higher attribute of universal knowledge is illumination and its effects are long lasting. Lightning is associated with the sun sign Aquarius, the new age sign. The crown of the Tower is tumbling down. In symbolism, the crown is associated with the head and the amount of consciousness one possesses. In this case, it symbolizes the temporary powers of matter; have no dominion over what is eternal and spiritual. When man looks upon man as royalty, or someone above God, he will surely find despair and disappointment. As Jesus once said, “Give unto Caesar what is Caesar’s and give unto the Lord what is the Lord’s.” Never forget that we are all children of God. If we act as selfish, dominant beings with one another, our Tower or temple of higher consciousness will surely tumble.

When we share in love with one another, our tower, or temple of higher consciousness will stand strong upon the rock of the ages. This card shows a man and a woman, symbols of the positive and negative life forces being thrown from the Tower onto the hard rocks of reality. In the final judgment, we shall all be tried in spirit. Above the man, there are 10 tongues of spirit. They show his misuse of the 10 qualities of knowledge. Above the woman are 10 spirits of multiplication or the 10 commandments. These signify the misuse of the spirits of deviation and the fruits of life. When we fail to multiply the gifts of spirit, they are taken away from us and when we disobey the laws of God, “we build our house on shaky ground.” When we use the gifts of spirit wisely, they multiply “tenfold.” The three narrow windows in the tower signify narrow vision and misuse of the gifts of the Trinity.

The tower itself signifies the physical being trying to build a tower to the heavens, or mankind trying to reach his place of origin without his creator. This card is a reminder of the tower of Babylon. The tower was built to track the planets so that information could be used to wage war. The tower was destroyed by God. This indicates anything that is built or used against humanity will surely be destroyed in the end.

When you hear the word’s concrete knowledge beware, for nothing is set in stone except the 10 commandments. God is ever expanding and so are we. We must open our minds to be spiritually elevated. Only through service and sharing will we ever find our way back to our true place of origin. When we share the knowledge we possess, we see the entire picture or scheme of the universe. “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” The way is clear and the path is straight. Only the bold in spirit shall enter into the kingdom of the soul. The self-ego is what it implies, of the self. The universal ego is boundless transforming and eternal.

When you see this card think “my physical manifestation must be supported by a spiritual foundation, a foundation of faith and love.”

KEY # 6

THE LOVERS

Solar Sign Gemini

The next card is the Lovers, solar sign Gemini. The number 6 signifies that spirit has now entered into matter and is ready to be multiplied. This is the card of communication and dual thinking energies. It is associated with affinity, for in the beginning, man and woman had natural communication with the spirit of mind, or conscious thought. This is why the ancients chose the twins as a symbol used to describe Gemini. What could be closer than twins?

At the top of the picture is a brilliant sunburst signifying the solar life force of reproduction. The six-pointed star above Raphael’s head depicts perfect balance of the triangular energies. The beautiful and serene angel Raphael is the angel of air. The angel has both hands raised and blesses both creations of the Father God, or The Universal Logos. Above his head is a dove, symbol of spirit within the circle. This symbolizes the eternal spirit flow. Behind the man is a tree bearing twelve flames that are threefold, signifying his possession and power of the twelve zodiac signs and abstract thought.

In the beginning, man was innocent and overly content. This card is associated with Adam and Eve, our first Earth parents. Behind Eve is the tree of knowledge, which represents the knowing of good and evil. It bears five fruits, which represents the five senses. Circled around the tree is the serpent of desire and sensation. It appears that uncontrolled emotions are indicated here.

It is interesting to note that leadership and dominant powers change sexes through each age. The age is now Aquarius and you can see the changes toward female leadership everywhere. The male aspect of humanity represents the conscious mind and is attuned to the Sun. The female is the subconscious mind and is attuned to the moon. The moon has a 28-day cycle and the female cycles are directly linked to the moon. This card indicates a need to meditate and to be still. It is only in stillness that we find spiritual awareness “Peace be still.”

This is a card of the mind and communication. It is both mental and physical. It marks the level of mental capacity within humanity. Our race has reached its present state of awareness and consciousness through the powers of the Holy Spirit. Their nakedness implies modesty and innocence and is associated with the Sun card of Aries. It implies that we stand open, free and shameless before our creator.

When one became two, the process of multiplication was created. When Adam and Eve ate from the tree of life, the consciousness of humanity was awakened and our direct spiritual connection with the super-conscious began a whole new direction.

When you see this card, think love, compassion, consciousness, communication and union between the sexes.

KEY# 18

THE MOON

Solar Sign Cancer

The Moon is the natural ruler of the cardinal, water sign Cancer. Cardinal signs in astrology are considered the four pillars of creation. The stomach causes man to feel, and Cancer rules the stomach and breasts. These are the organs where new life is manifested and nurtured. Cancer also governs the rear part of the brain that contains the subconscious mind. So you could say this card is connected to the subconscious mind. All of the water elements have great influence on the psychic mind. It also indicates our mental ability to recall.

In the moon key, we see a full radiant moon aglow, signifying the highest emotional level of the human cycle. At this time the subconscious is wide open and ready to retain creative mental impressions. When awake or in the conscious state, the Moon’s sub-conscious impressions will take material form. It is interesting to note that human beings are 70 to 75 percent fluids. The Moon influences all that is liquid. The Moon’s gravitational pull, or polarity is highly influential to humans, for it directly influences the emotional system and what we call feelings.

It also represents the female aspect in its purest form. Circling the Moon are 18 tongues of flame or spirit. This indicates the Moons abundant influence of reproduction. The number 18 adds up to a 9, which is a number of expansion and vision.

The number 9 is associated with Jupiter. (Note: Jupiter is exulted in the sign of the Moon, Cancer.) When we meditate on this key, we can manifest great subconscious impressions. The Moon is a wellspring to the human imagination. Beneath the Moon are two towers signifying the duality of mind. This is a reminder that we must walk the path between light and darkness to obtain balance and spiritual freedom. Again, we see dual forces, or energies of nature at work.

There is a path between the towers leading to the mountain of spiritual attainment. Together, living in harmony, we overcome negative emotion and obtain spiritual freedom and redemption. What we feel, we always remember. There is a dog and a wolf howling at the full Moon. As we said in the card of the Fool, the dog is the symbol of the five senses. The dog also signifies our evolution away from animalistic inhibitions. The wolf symbolizes humanity’s past tendencies to dominate and pervert. However there is still a touch of the wild in all of us.

The pool of water also represents the psychic mind and purity of thought. It is deep, clear and retaining of all previous thought. The substance of water produces air or spirit. A shelled creature emerges from the pool, symbolizing the early subconscious evolution of humanity. It is said that life itself originally came from the sea. The air that the sea produces sustains humanity and all other life on this planet. This card should reminds us that we are spiritual beings, but we as a race still have a long way to go before obtaining super consciousness.

The Moon is the Earth’s Mother and is associated with Uranus and the Empress, the Universal Mother, as well. We must harness the powers of the subconscious mind to establish direct communication with the super conscious. When this is obtained, we come to know true freedom and creative power. When this is accomplished, we become connected to the created forces of the universe. The symbolism of the Moon card reminds us of where we have been and how far we have come as a race.

When you see this tarot card, think fertile, deep, subconscious, maternal, nurturing, evolution, sensitivity, abundance, creativity and inner expression.

KEY #8

STRENGTH

Solar Sign Leo

The spiritual messages of the Strength card shows the higher attributes of the solar sign Leo. The Sun and Leo are associated with the Earth Father. From the Sun, we receive life and power for reproduction. Leo’s zodiac symbol, the Lion stands for strength and courage but in this case, it is a different kind. This energy is a mental and spiritual strength. In other words, it represents the power of mind over matter. Leo represents loyalty, devotion and courage. Blessed are the bold in spirit for they shall see God. The symbols of this card deal directly with the conscious mind and the male or father aspect.

To return to a state of spiritual awareness and communion with the Trinity, one must have faith, courage and strength, sure attributes of an evolved soul. Leo is the card of the soul and governs the heart, the home of the soul. The heart pumps blood, or spirit flow, through the entire body. The soul is always in communication with the brain; they are united. The old saying whatever is in your heart is on your mind. Atop the beautiful maiden there is a bright sunburst representing the celestial Father and the element fire. Above her head is a cosmic luminscate, symbol of spiritual attainment and balanced creative powers. She has a radiant yellow gown, symbolizing strength, love and courage. In her hair is a crown of flowers, symbol of serenity. Around her waist and the lion is a string of red roses, symbol of her conquest over the physical world and emotional desires.

She is closing the lion’s mouth with the forces of love and compassion. This card signifies a soul that has reached a real and everlasting state of spiritual awareness. The background contains the familiar mountain of spiritual attainment. This card represents our association with the Father God, or the celestial Father. The key words of Leo are “I am.” This indicates a direct link to the soul of humanity. When Jesus spoke of His relationship with His Farther, He said, it is through The Father that I do these things.

These words insinuate that we are all God’s children. The words “I am” relate to the soul consciousness of humanity and its eternal link with the celestial Father, or Universal creation. This key is a true reminder that love does overcome all. Love is the essence the whole universe was created from. Love is the spiritual glue that binds all creation together.

The nature and symbolism of this card is a very powerful force. It signifies our need to control or passions and desires for these are the forces of destruction. When humanity places its ego and vanity aside, than all will accept the powers of the eternal flame of God. Then we will have the power to achieve many great things. Then we’ll come to know all power of a lasting nature stems from the forces of love, charity and forgiveness.

When you see this card, think courage, strength, willpower, control, poise, integrity and loyalty.

Key # 9

THE HERMIT

Solar Sign Virgo

The card of the Hermit is important for any soul on the path to light, if one is to obtain Christ consciousness. It’s truest meaning relates to universal service and sacrifice. It portrays a being that has obtained true wisdom through cooperation, patience, and compliance with the universal laws of brotherhood. This card is #9. The number nine is one of mental expansion, abundance, balance and awareness. The Hermit card signifies one who has walked the path of righteousness alone, knowing that the light of God is the only guidance one needs to gain freedom and knowledge. The #9 is the number before 10, signifying gathering of the life forces. The Trinity is now ready to be multiplied within.

The Hermit sits alone in the night, he stirs the imagination and the subconscious. Because he sits alone implies he is in voluntary, humble service to humanity. He is an ancient one who has served humanity since the beginning of time. He looks down the mountain path of spiritual attainment. He is waiting for anyone daring to make the long, rough climb back to our Creator. The Hermit holds in his right hand the lantern of eternal knowledge, symbol of the supreme intelligence of the Trinity. Within the lantern is a six-pointed star, known as the Star of David and the seal of Solomon. This was the symbol given by God to the two wisest kings Israel has ever known. The Star of David is a perfect configuration of the spiritual and material worlds.

Combined, one of the triangles points down, symbolizing the Trinity descending to Mother Earth, and the other triangle points upward, and is the energy of the Trinity returning to its origin. The connecting triangles create a symbol indicating perfect balance, spiritual direction and reunification. The Hermit holds the lantern high and with vigilance. He offers its light and wisdom to anyone brave enough to accept it, wise enough to use it properly, and strong enough to persist.

In his left hand, he holds the staff, or wand of illumination, within the circle atop the wand is a five-pointed star, symbol of Christ consciousness. With the wand, He will stir the imagination of humanity. This energy will elevate their consciousness. He has reached the height of attainment and with the wand will create new and spiritual ideas within the soul of the willing.

His cloak is one of a humble man. The spirit of service and humility needs nothing of the material world, for the Hermit knows that everything real lies within the spirit. Blessed are the meek for they shall inherit the Earth. Above his head is a solar cross with a dove inside of the eternal circle. The solar cross is the symbol of Earth. Within the cross is a circle, symbol of eternity and a white dove, symbol of peace. It signifies the eternal spirit manifested on Earth through generosity and compassion.

This card is closely associated with the planet Vulcan and Mercury, the spiritual messenger. The key words of Virgo are “I Analyze.” Everything about this card points to wisdom service.

Only through wisdom will we find true freedom and lasting peace. As long as one ignorant soul lives, we are not truly free. The wisdom of God is the ever-present liberator of humanity. “Knock and the door shall he opened.” The door that lets spiritual light within us is in the heart, home of the soul. The individual looking for a true spiritual existence can only open the door to the soul.

When we meditate, we cooperate with our higher source and allow ourselves to be elevated mentally and spiritually. The Light of God guides you, the Love of God purifies you and the Power of God encircles you. “Seek and you shall find.” Share and you shall be multiplied.

When you see this card, think spiritual guidance, humane service, humbleness, compassion, nurturing, forgiveness and self-attainment.
