Moon Mission
An adventure with Alex the Little Astronaut
Alex and Doggie blasted off from the Space Station on the Space Shuttle Endeavour. Alex completed the special Christmas Mission that Santa Clause had asked him to do; he gave the Christmas Stockings to the Astronauts, but now it was time to go back to Earth before Santa’s Magic Star Dust wore off his Space Shuttle.
First, they had to rocket toward the moon because Neil, one of the Astronauts asked them to stop at the moon and do an important job on their way back home. Alex was happy to help his friends the Astronauts. Alex the Little Astronaut was very proud to be given such an important mission.

Alex spotted the moon and started to slow down to make the landing, then Alex and Doggie climbed down the ladder onto the moon. The moon was full of craters, so they had to be careful where they walked. They looked all around and started to walk away from the Space Shuttle in search of the American Flag.
Neil told Alex that if saw a foot print on the moon’s surface, they would be close to the Flag. Soon they found the foot print.

“There it is,” said Alex. Doggie woofed and wagged his tail.
Alex walked over to the Flag that had bent over when it was hit by a small asteroid that soared over the moon. Alex carefully straightened it. He then took a step back and saluted the American Flag.
“Moon Mission accomplished!” said Alex to Doggie.

Alex and Doggie went back to the Space Shuttle Endeavour, climbed aboard and lifted off into space. They headed back home to Earth. They passed through many Galaxies, full of millions of bright stars, then through Earths atmosphere.

Alex landed just in time as the Magic Star Dust that Santa had given him to sprinkle on his toy Space Shuttle disappeared. The Space Shuttle was back to normal size again. Doggie followed Alex very quietly to their bedroom.
It was time for Alex and Doggie to go back to sleep in their little Space Pod that Mommy thought was just a bed.
Alex placed the Space Shuttle Endeavour on the floor beside his bed. It was the end of another fun adventure.
He turned out the light and stared up at his “glow in the dark” planets that hung from the ceiling. Alex closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep wondering what his next mission would be in outer space.
