A History Of Ireland - A New Perspective (Part 1).

INTRODUCTION
Gaining an accurate understanding of the history of the British Isles that minimises the skewing influence of the various mythologies that abound, is quite a difficult thing to do. Yet it is very important to possess as accurate a knowledge as possible of what did happen in the common history of the peoples who populate these islands.
Listening to reports from the media with its ‘vested interests’ of what happened in Ireland is certainly not the most reliable source of information on Irish History. This book attempts to remove the jaundiced interpretations of that history in order that readers may be put in possession of a more accurate account of what actually happened. In Ireland, there are competing understandings of Irish history - that held by the republicans and nationalists, and that embraced by unionists.
