“Did you really have to wear that, Natalie?”
I looked at my boyfriend impatiently then down at my outfit. A grass skirt hung loosely from my hips, covering the bottom half of my flowery bikini and leaving my midriff exposed. The matching top covered my breasts, complimenting the brightly coloured lei around my neck and the flower threaded in my long dark hair. “What, exactly, is the problem, Brian?”
“The whole thing!” he replied. “It’s so… skimpy!”
I rolled my eyes at his indignant expression. “It’s a Hawaiian-themed party, Brian,” I said irritably. “Everyone will be wearing stuff like this. Well, except you,” I amended, eyeing his button down shirt and slacks.
“I’m not dating everyone else,” he hissed as we came to a stop outside my friend Tim’s front door. Music pulsed from inside the house and I was eager to get inside and start partying. “Relax, Brian, let’s just have a good time, okay?”
He didn’t look convinced, but I didn’t want to waste anymore time reassuring him. I was in the mood to party, not satisfy his delicate male sensibilities. Grabbing his hand, I opened the door and dragged him inside behind me.
A wall of sound hit me as soon as we were inside. All around us, people were talking, drinking, dancing. The room was a sea of vibrant colour and, just as I had told Brian, I wasn’t the only scantily-clad girl in the room. I looked around eagerly, taking in the atmosphere, glimpses of bare skin flashing through the riot of colour.
“Natalie!”
I squealed as Tim made his way through the crowd of people towards us and scooped me up in a hug, his strong arms easily lifting me and spinning me around. I could see Brian frowning as Tim pressed his lips to my cheek but chose to ignore him. “It’s about time you got here!”
“Sorry we’re late,” I said once my feet found the floor again. “I was delayed at work then spent way too long trying to convince someone he should dress up.”
I nodded behind me and Tim laughed. “I see you weren’t successful,” he teased, holding out his hand. “Glad you made it anyway, Brian.”
“Tim,” Brian said stiffly, shaking his hand. He had never been particularly fond of my friend as he was convinced that Tim was just waiting for the right moment to make his move on me. It was just like Brian to think such a thing; as soon as I looked at another guy he got jealous.
I had to admit, though, the thought of what it would be like to fuck my friend had crossed my mind more than once or twice. Tim had a long, lean body that I couldn’t help but admire, as well as soft, sensuous lips. It probably didn’t help that we were so close, often hugging, finding reasons to touch one another. Even now I could feel disapproval radiating from Brian as Tim took a step back, his hands still on my hips, and looked me up and down.
