PREFACE

It is a great honor for me to present a book on one the world’s greatest champions for humanity. Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) had principles that enable him to see the true worth of people and especially the oppressed or downtrodden because he could identify with their pain and express it more honestly. Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) we respect today, experience the same atrocities and vices that has befalls many black men today. From drugs, alcoholism, gambling, crime and prostitution, Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) understood the problems of the black community and later dedicated his life to changing them. Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) made not have gotten the same notoriety as Martin Luther King Jr. when he was alive, however, the Black Panthers and Black Power Movement was overwhelming inspired by his teachings, and later on, quietly, so was Dr. King.

In addition, I dedicate this book to Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz), whom challenged others and me from the grave, to positively change our families and communities from self-destruction. Today, the black family and communities are in disarray, and as I write this preface, black children are being killed and black men are killing one another. Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) warned black America about the destructive course it was taken, and although he spoke of self-defense, every word he said that would happen to black America has come into fruition. The murder rate is high, drugs among the youth is high, fathers abandoning their parental duties is at an all-time high and schools in black communities is failing to teach and inspire black children of tomorrow. We must celebrate the life of Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) with conviction of enriching the economic power in black communities, instead of empowering the depravity in the black communities and families. I believe we owe Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) a great deal, and we can repay him by saving and educating ourselves to the racist elements of America, while preventing the suicidal thrust the black youth are living in today. Allah has made Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz) smile, because his worth to the world goes unblemished, and we can make him smile by courageously educating our generation of how great he was, and forever will be.

“……Our people have made the mistake of confusing the methods with the objectives. As long as we agree on objectives, we should never fall out with each other just because we believe in different methods, or tactics, or strategy.…”
Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz)
