GOD vs. RELIGION

Religions are answerable to God.”
What do God and religion have in common? Nothing! Religion needs the fear of God to stay in business, God needs nothing. Before you start accusing me of being anti-religious, I am not.
I am pro-God!
There are thousands of religions claiming that they are the TRUE religion of God. Yet, as far as I know God did not start any religion and neither did Jesus, Mohammad, Buddha, Krishna or any other enlightened Lord.
Religions were started by man mostly in an attempt to try to explain God. When they realized they could not, it evolved into man’s desire to seek power and riches. How did these individuals seek to control the masses? They did this by inventing hell and the devil, and thus frightening people to obey a list of man-made rules. Most of the known religions were started thousands of years ago when mankind thought the earth was flat and that the sun revolved around the earth. Most of the population was uneducated, could not read or write and communication was very limited. Superstition was rampant and the population was very gullible. The High Priests and Rabbis were treated like Kings and their word became law.
Artists became the voice of communication and their versions of Heaven and Hell; God and the Devil are still hanging in museums all over the world. Stories of Angels, fallen Angels and God’s battle with Satan became the basis for the Bible, the Koran, the Torah and many other works that religion holds sacred as the “truth”. These works have many similar passages and also many that contradict the teachings of competitive religions. Many, if not all, claim that they are the “TRUE” religion of God and the others are false religions. Sounds like rhetoric of the two politicians running for the presidency. If you listen what they are saying we would be better off if we voted for Daffy Duck as president.
Let’s take a look at the story of Moses and the Ten Commandments. Moses was one of the first to introduce laws when he came down from the mountain carrying two stone tablets with the Ten Commandments carved into them. Moses claimed God spoke to him (as a burning bush – a little melodramatic don’t you think). Moses said God gave him 10 commandments to take down to his tribe. In my opinion this is what I think really happened: You see Moses’ tribe was getting fed up with Moses for trekking them all over the desert for forty years. They started rebelling and getting out of control. To me, my scenario makes a little more sense as to how he came up with the Ten Commandments… Moses went up into the mountain to think and meditate. His tribe was out of control, they were worshipping Golden Idols, drinking, fornicating and who knows what else. Moses, while up in the mountain, came up with a set of rules that he felt would keep his people in control. Moses knew that if he came down from the mountain and said that they were his rules, the tribe would laugh at him and maybe even run him out of the desert. So, he came down from the mountain carrying two stone tablets with rules carved into them and told his people that God had given them to him. He said that God had spoken through a burning bush and that these were God’s Ten Commandments. Now, in my opinion this was a brilliant idea Moses came up with. Moses told his people that if they didn’t obey God’s commandments, God would strike them dead. Wow, talk about putting the fear of God into someone!
These rules were not God’s rules. God doesn’t make rules… he gave us free will, didn’t He? The Ten Commandments were aimed at the rebellious behavior of Moses’ tribe. If God was going to make up a set of rules, I think there would only be three.
1. Love God with your whole heart and soul.
2. Love yourself as you love God.
3. Love your neighbor as you love yourself.
If you obey these three rules there is no need for any other rule. God gave humans free will, so if God gave Moses the Ten Commandments He took away their free will.
If God and Moses were truly on speaking terms, don’t you think God would have told Moses that he was settling in the only spot in the desert that did not have any oil under it? It may be time for someone to climb a mountain and look for a burning bush. The only mountain we have here in south Florida is the county dump.
Between 2008 and 2012, which is an important date in history, the version of reality as you have come to know it will appear less and less stable. As current events worldwide will steadily escalate into total chaos and confusion, you will be compelled to WAKE UP and start thinking what and why certain events are occurring. (I heard a statistic recently that said that there are over 40,000 simulated murders on television every year. In real life it’s worse. In the history of mankind there has never been one single minute that there wasn’t a war going on somewhere on earth. ) This is a challenging and exciting time to be alive. You will start to question everything you believe in including your religion, your belief system and your view of humanity as a whole. Every day you will ask: WHO AM I?, WHY AM I HERE?, and WHERE AM I GOING? You will question: WHAT IS THE TRUTH? A definition of the “truth” is anything that is repeated over and over millions of times and the majority of people accept it as the “truth”, then it is labeled as the truth regardless if it has any validity or not.
You will discover your inherent power to create YOUR world as you want it. It takes great courage to question your existence and even greater strength to know and recognize the truth when you see or hear it.
Let us start with: WHO AM I?
Science has finally proved what the Bible and ancient mankind already knew. DNA is now being used today to prove who is related to who, to solve crimes and much more. DNA is proving that God is a part of us. In the words of William Blake, “God became as we are, that we are as He is. God is mankind and exists in us as we exist in Him.” You might want to read that again.
The ancient Hebrew Scriptures tell us that the unspoken name of God is YHVH (YAHWEH). In the Hebrew language they did not use vowels and the “W” and “V” are the same letter, so God’s name in Hebrew is YHVH. The chemical symbols breakdown as follows:
Y – Hydrogen
H – Nitrogen
V – Oxygen
H – Nitrogen
God created the Universe in His own image. The chemical makeup of everything in the Universe is made up of mainly 1 part Hydrogen, 2 parts Nitrogen and 1 part Oxygen. God is in every atom in the Universe. God then created mankind in His own image. Mankind’s DNA is made up of:
Y – Hydrogen
H – Nitrogen
V – Oxygen
G – Carbon
According to the Bible, God created mankind from dust (carbon) and then breathed His Universal Super-Conscious Mind (soul) into man to give him life. So…
WE ARE GOD EXPERIENCING A HUMAN/PHYSICAL JOURNEY CALLED A.L.I.V.E. (Life).
A.L.I.V.E. – stands for: A Living Intelligent Vibrating Energy
God is our subconscious mind (soul) and is with us 24/7. Our subconscious mind is always on, unlike our conscious mind which takes one third of our life off in sleep.
Now we will discuss: WHY AM I HERE?
The only reasonable and intelligent answer that makes sense to me is that the Universal Super-Conscious Mind (God) is seeking to know itself by becoming things, because it cannot know itself as infinity. All the while, we are expanding our consciousness, God seeks to know itself by becoming you and me and every other thing in the Universe. Thus, mankind’s purpose is destined to expand self-consciousness to infinity.
Religion has tried to prove the existence of God since its inception. However, the closest it has come is by stating you have to have FAITH. As a matter of fact, every time religion cannot prove something their answer is always the same: “You just have to believe”. Some religions say God created Heaven and Hell, yet the Bible states God created Heaven (Universe) and Earth. It does not say God created Hell. If God did not create Hell, then who did? Religion created Hell as a deterrent to people wanting to not abide by the man-made rules of that certain religious doctrine.
Having been born into the Catholic Religion and having attended 12 years of Catholic School. Teaching about sin, hell, the devil, confession and judgment day; I read where Pope John Paul II’s Funeral (who was one of the best Popes we had), a billion Catholics mourned his death yet Pope John Paul II stated before a papal audience on July 28, 1999: “Hell does not exist as a place but is a situation in which one finds oneself after freely and definitely withdrawing from God, the source of life and joy.” So, if the highest ranking official in the Catholic Church says there is no such place as hell, then you have to question what else did “they” (religions) tell us that is not true.
I remember when I was in 5th grade, around 1945, the Nuns told us it was a mortal sin to eat meat on Friday, and if we died before we went to confession we would go straight to Hell. I couldn’t believe God would be so cruel. Then around 1950 or so, Pope Pius comes out with a ruling that this “sin” doesn’t make any sense and he rules that now you can eat meat on Friday. My question is what happened to all the people who ate meat on Fridays and died before 1950? Did some angel go down to Hell with pardons for all these people? How about the Jewish, Muslim and Buddhists or all the other religions who ate meat on Friday…where they stuck in Hell?
I’m not really against religion, I think it has given comfort to many people. However, the basic idea of Heaven and Hell, Sin, the Devil, Judgment Day, Who God is, Who we are and Where are we going; is just as misleading as a mother telling a child: “Now be good or Santa Claus will not come and bring you any toys.” Or “Put your tooth under your pillow so the tooth fairy can bring you money.” Or my favorite: “Babies come from the stork.”
What is the truth? The truth is whatever you have heard a million times over and at one time in your life you believed it. So, here is a “truth” I am going to start and it needs to be repeated millions and millions of times.
WHERE AM I GOING?
To understand infinity, we need to be infinite. Our body will clearly die, but our soul – our subconscious mind will never die. Neither was it ever born. What to the Great Teachers of all time keep saying?
WE ARE ONE WITH GOD!
And God has no intention of doing anything with your soul except to bring it back “HOME” where it belongs.
Here is an observation:
Two soldiers on opposite sides of the war are sitting in their fox holes 100 yards apart. Each soldier is praying to God to keep him safe from harm. Whose side is God on? The answer: The one with the best aim. God does not choose sides. To God both soldiers are the same, God is both soldiers. Then why are they fighting? They don’t know it. Some religious or political leaders have decided they don’t look or talk like us, so they must be the enemy and the enemy must be killed. Sometimes even in the name of God. For what? A desert where nothing grows, the ocean that we can’t control, a hill, a road, oil, money, what? War is Hell…
Wars are started by those individuals seeking money and power. Unfortunately wars are fought by young men and women who are maimed and killed because their leaders could not get together and declare: WE ARE ALL ONE WITH GOD. In fact, they say just the opposite. They (religions) say: “We are the one and only religion.” War is stupid, humans are sometimes stupid. Political leaders are sometimes power seeking, corrupt dictators. Religious leaders are so un-God like that our newspapers are full of scandals.
Folks, this planet is in jeopardy of destroying itself and every person on it if we don’t stop buying the lies and seek the truth.
What is the truth? The truth, in my opinion, is locked in your heart. Find a quiet place, close your eyes still your mind and ask God what you, as an individual, can do to stop this madness. Whatever God’s answer is, go tell two people and tell them to tell two people and in no time we will have world peace and then God will smile and say: “Now I know why I put you on this Earth at this particular time.”
