“He’s
a man of few words”
eyes of judgement take me in
sympathetic
stares looking for reasons
fake smile’s pass between us
they
turn and carry on with small talk
i’ll either kill or love one
of them later
for
i am a man of many words
nil by mouth
all by hand
churn in
my mind
beseeching me to be silent
compelling me to write
in
the dead of night
just me and the dark
just me and hundreds
alike
develop our imaginings
create alternate
realities
exchanging what is for what could be
for
now i’ll smile
listen through deaf ears
nod and shake
intently
watch gestures and flirtations
while my partner
describes me
“he’s a man of few words!”
Dear Reader,

man of few words...’ it is offered free of charge to you as a
sample of the poetry of Spargo Postle. This poem is just one from of
small collection of poetry Thoughts & Emotion - Poetry Pocket
Book written by Spargo Postle. If you are lonely or in some way at
the edge of the lives around you always remember that we are
connected. We are not always easy to see, we are rarely heard, we can
be too insecure to speak of the thoughts that stumble through our
ever occupied minds, but we are here, we are united, we are truly the
solitary many.
