Why a Green and Ethical Wedding?
Dear gorgeous bride-to-be,
Congratulations for your upcoming wedding and thank you for taking the time to read about how you can make your wedding kinder to the planet.
Mark and I care about our impact on the environment and sometimes we struggle in the real world to completely live in line with our values, and our wedding was the same. We started out with the best intentions, educated ourselves along the way, and like any couple – had to make compromises with each other over what was really important to us.
Ours wasn’t the greenest wedding in the world. We did some things really well, and others quite frankly would give us a dirty environmental report. However, just being aware of the issues made us incorporate what we could into our big day.
This is not about being perfect, or compromising on style, class or enjoyment. There are just some really simple things you can do to reduce the carbon footprint of your wedding, even just a little, and to be as authentic to your values as a couple as possible.
So, have fun with planning your green and ethical wedding. Please share your stories with me afterwards; you know how much I love wedding pictures. Lastly, thank you for being the change we want to see in the world!
xx
