Memorize a 52 Card Deck in an Hour!

Imagine being able to work what appears to be miracles with a deck of cards -- without any sleight of hand. A memorized deck of cards can do this for you.  Most magicians and mentalists shy away from the memorized deck because of the route memory work involved. The good news is that you'll be doing no route memorization!

Or perhaps you are a gambler or causally card player. By learning this method you will instantly know what cards have been discarded! That is a massive advantage in every card game where there are discarded!

The presented system makes the initial learning of the deck of cards in order quick and easy. Once you've learned the order of the deck you will still have to review the order of the deck to gain speed, but you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can initially memorize a deck and gain speed if you follow this guide and practice.

Once you have learned the simple technique of associating mental images to cards and then how to “link” or associate these images, you will be able to learn a deck, in order, in an hour or less.

How to Memorize Cards in the Deck

In order to memorize a deck of cards quickly, you must make the cards easy to remember. You will accomplish this by making abstract card numbers and suits into tangible and concrete images that can be vividly pictured in the imagination.

In order to quickly facilitate learning the cards, you will not use route memory. Route memory is mechanical. Mechanical processes are for machines, not humans. I work under the assumption you are a human if you are reading this guide!

So let me ask you a question. If I asked you to remember 6-2-1-4-2-4 or “Shun dear Nero,” which would be easier to recall? You can picture Nero being shunned in your imagination and it “sticks,” whereas 621424 does not easily remain in your memory because numbers are abstracts -- they are difficult to visualize. Here’s the trick: 621424 and “Shun dear Nero” are one in the same once you learn the easy system of turning numbers into words and phrases.

Turn Numbers into Words

As promised, I’m going to show you how 621424 = “Shun dear Nero.” We will turn numbers, which happen to be on your playing cards, into words. In turn these words can be visualized and remembered more easily and quickly than abstract numbers. This system of turning numbers into words and phrases is called the “Phonetic Alphabet” or “Major System.” Don’t worry it’s an easy system to learn, and takes only a minimum of practice.

Keep in mind that we are only interested in the sound these letters make, not the letter itself. Words will be spelled phonetically, not according to Webster. Here is the method for transforming numbers into letters along with memory aids to help you remember the corresponding letter(s):
