INTRODUCTION

Well, I’ve written quiz e-books about a lot of my favorite things: Comic books, old-time radio, cartoons and sci-fi movies of the fifties. Here comes another of my multitude of “favorite things”: Classic television shows. I’ve used the same interactive format, with the questions and answers linked together so you can move back and forth with ease. I have structured it a bit different, as the answers for each section of the quiz are directly after the questions in this book.

Each of this e-book’s first thirty sections features ten questions about a single TV show. The final section is a grab-bag of questions from ten different shows not already featured in a separate quiz in this e-book. The questions are of varying levels of difficulty, and I’ve not tried to rate or order any of them by that. Let’s face it, what’s easy for me, might be hard for you and what’s easy for you could be extremely difficult for me. For example, I’m a fish out of water if I’m immersed in Friends or Seinfeld trivia, but I’ll take on all comers if the topic is Mr. Ed or Firefly.

I’ve also tried to use a lot of classic television shows that haven’t gotten a lot of write-ups in the press lately. Most of these shows are fairly easy to obtain nowadays, either on DVD or in reruns (with the notable exception of The Donna Reed Show). I’ve also tried to spread them out a little over the decades, but the majority of them are from the fifties and sixties, the golden age for the medium.

If you don’t see your favorite here, feel free to drop me an email or a Facebook message and I’ll see about working a quiz about your personal favorite show into the next volume of The TV Show Quiz Book!

July 15, 2011

Well, due to some epub formatting problems, I decided to redo this whole e-book into the new, “click-less” format I’ve been using. In the process, I added four new sections of questions on the TV shows Batman, Gilligan’s Island, Star Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation. I’ve also added a couple more grab bag questions for a total of 401 questions in this e-book.

So good luck, and I’ll see you again after Question #401!
