Casey popped a large yellow pill into her mouth before she snatched a large water bottle from the book-filled table. She sipped from the dented container before slamming the misshapen bottle onto the wooden tableau. She stared at the screen of her laptop computer for a brief moment before she began typing.
“What was that?” Amy asked.
"What was what?" Casey inquired.
"That yellow pill you just swallowed," Amy responded.
“Oh. That was just my vitamin.”
“What kind of vitamin was it?”
“The kind I take every day that keeps me calm and my immune system functioning."
“You didn’t offer me a vitamin. I need to stay calm. And with all of the germs swimming around here at school, especially in that dungeon cafeteria, I need lots of help making my immune system function.”
“You wouldn’t like them very much. They’re really big and they have a chalky taste on them.”
“Are they the chewable kind?”
“No. You have to swallow them.”
