The Aquarian age is now at hand; once more, the great cosmic doors of time are open. This era of humanity’s consciousness will be elevated higher than ever before. The possibilities of creation, freedom and spirituality are very real and ever present. The essence of the Holy Logos is Power, Wisdom and Love. This constitutes the Omnipotent being we call God. This power can raise every soul consciousness through any medium, whether it is through the Bible, astrology, philosophy, metaphysics, symbolism, religion, or any evolutionary process that helps humanity attain Christ consciousness.
When Christ principals are used as a pattern, any person willing to abide in universal law can achieve universal harmony and Christ consciousness. We are all sons and daughters of the “One Triune God.” Jesus once said, “All paths lead to the One path.” This would signify that all souls will eventually return to the “I AM,” or “The Universal Logos.” It is safe to say we all have the inborn abilities to obtain Christ consciousness.
Keep your spiritual lamp filled with the fuel of truth, your heart filled with pure love, and your mind filled with pure light. As the Master once said, “As you have done onto the least of your brothers, you have done onto me.” Fill your time with service to all in need. Be that beacon of light, that tower of strength and a fountain of courage. Remember always that knowledge bears responsibility, and wisdom is spiritual guidance asked for.

WHAT IS ASTROLOGY?
The word astrology is derived from two Greek words: astra or star, and logos or logic. It is often refered to as the wisdom of the heavens. It has been preserved for humanity by the prophets, seers and other keepers of the flame of truth throughout the ages. Dating back thousands of years and existing in practically every country that exhibited any form of human evolution, this makes astrology, some of the most studied and evolved knowledge in Earth’s history.
The uses of this universal knowledge are so vast that they could not even be numbered. In fact, it’s truths and uses are so powerful, it has been kept from the masses throughout the ages. It is only now that we possess the spiritual insight, comprehension and compassion as a race to use it properly. When humanity was in its infant stages of consciousness, surely they gazed up at the heavens. They must have known deep within their souls, that we are intimately connected to the stars and the universe. Since the first conscious thought, we as a race have been unfolding. Hoping some day that we, as the heavens would be made whole.
Astrology was different in many civilizations and it seemed to develop independently. Since the first Bedouin shepherds, started noticing the patterns of the stars in the heavens, the progression of Astrology began. The Chaldeans, who lived in Babylon (now Iraq), developed one of the original forms of astrology as early as 3000 B.C. The Chinese were practicing astrology by 2000 BC. The Chinese zodiac signs are called rat, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, serpent, horse, sheep, monkey, hen, dog and pig. By 500 BC, astrology had spread to ancient Greece, it was at this time Greece reached her height.
It was because of astrologers like Aristotle, Pythagoras, Plato and Ptolemy who used this ancient form of knowledge, to enhance and elevate every form of thought within their country. They incorporated it in their writings, medicine, art, agriculture and government. They were some of the greatest astrologers, because their main focus in life was the relentless search for truth. As astrologers, they possessed superior knowledge, that could shed much light on future and past experiences.
Other varieties of astrology formed in ancient India, Central America, Rome, North America, and countless other countries. These people observed that certain astronomical bodies, particularly the Sun and Moon, directly affected the changes of the seasons and the success of medicine, crops and fishing. Based on calculated observations, astrologers developed a broader system by tracking the movements of the stars and planets. They became more aware of additional aspects of life.
As astrology became introduced to the European nations, it took on a different form and meaning. Unfortunately, it became a science rather than a philosophy. There was a time when only kings and rich businessmen were counseled by astrologers. However, if one wrong forecast resulted, a quick and sudden death was inevitable for the astrologer. As time went on, humane astrologers and philosophers developed a grander scheme for their liberating knowledge.
They would share it with the common people, who possessed good hearts. These astrologers in turn would pass on this knowledge to anyone who wished to know truth and harmony. In turn, the evolutionary process of this ancient art became a common tool, for anyone wishing to abide within the laws of nature. Thus becoming a co-creator with the universe.
Astrology is a metaphysical marvel; it indicates human reactions to planetary vibrations within our solar system. We collect thoughts in our subconscious while asleep or when we meditate. We express those mental impressions when conscious or awake. Like everything else about humanity a double nature exists. Astrology teaches spiritual potentials and natural soul compatibility. It is a philosophy of nature expressed by actions and reactions. Like all the “ologies” and “isms,” it is mainly governed by the sign Aquarius, which is the New Age sign. Astrology exposes changing circumstances in life, and the true nature of those circumstances. It prepares one to manipulate and transform so-called adverse conditions before they appear, thus manifesting better conditions in advance.
A good example of how astrology psychologically influences humanity would be to consider the affects of the Sun. This planet affects every living thing on Earth. Its rays are among the most influential and beneficial to humanity. The Sun position in one’s natal chart indicates the real self, or the soul’s purpose. It is also said to affect the conscious mind. In our solar system, the Sun gives “soul power.”
The word’s sun, soul, and solar are derived from the same root word. The Sun gives power to regenerate and reproduce life. If you planted a flower or tree, would you keep it out of sunlight? Of course not for the new plant would surely die. When the Sun doesn’t shine, we are more apt to become irritable or feel dull. Anything seen in sunlight is automatically bright and clear to the mind.
Let’s examine the effects of the Moon’s magnetic pull upon humanity. In astrology, the Moon’s influence is taken seriously. It affects the subconscious mind and our feelings. The moon is not only the most visible planet it is also the closest to the Earth.
The Moon affect all liquids, she controls the tides and all fluids. Since the human body contains over 70 % fluid, why shouldn’t the Moon’s gravitational pull affect us?
As the tides rise and fall, humanity experiences these tidal changes as feelings and moods. Changes of emotional tides within humanity are called cycles of emotions. Remember the saying “It’s an up-and down world.” Knowing emotional lunar levels, can prepare us and help us overcome the hardest of times. Astrology is a true study of natural phenomena. Its vast and accurate knowledge helps us to express a natural and coexisting life within the realm of nature. Nature and natural are one in the same word. On a personal and even global level, the benefits and uses for this ancient knowledge, could easily elevate the consciousness of every person on this planet.
By understanding the true nature of others and ourselves, we can form lasting relationships and exhibit natural respect for each other. Any subject this large could naturally take decades to comprehend. However, as modern day astrologers, we are blessed with tools that ancient astrologers could not even dream about. What might take 10 years to comprehend in the past, could be learned in a few short months.
Therefore, the time is now, for the people of the world to harness this liberating knowledge. We must use it to elevate the consciousness of humanity. As a modern day astrologer, I must agree that astrology of old is more truthful concerning some matters. But the potential of modern day astrology, has the technology to verify the countless truths that are contained within this vast subject.
Through mental awareness of symbolic knowledge, we accumulate spiritual consciousness that elevates the soul. These laws provide opportunities to rise above the common material illusions of life. Thus, we spiritually interpret natural human reactions and desires. We do not change universal law, or hold nature in obedience and at our beck and call. However, by a thorough study of this subject, we can improve manifested response to universal law; simply by improving conscious thinking, speech, habits and actions.
Astrology can show us when certain planetary influences are present and what to expect. Our spiritual evolution determines what extent these influences will manifest. Astrology is one of the most important studies we can undertake. Its precepts should be investigated and taught in every school and avenue of life. The philosophy of astrology, and all metaphysical knowledge, should be restored to its original level of truth and beauty. Then the world would gain a true perspective of divine order. The truth expressed throughout the wisdom of the ages, has been recorded in symbolism and numbers. In my opinion astrology and numerology, are two of the purest presentations of spiritual truth in the world today. These ancient arts deal with governing vibrations and motivating forces. These magnetic force-fields play through and upon the whole field of our space, thus influencing all manifestations within that field.
When this knowledge is grasped and all sources of these influential energies are comprehended. Humanity will experience a clearer meaning for their inherited spirituality. When relationships between planetary vibrations, systematic cycles and cosmic entities are understood, we shall start to live spiritually, scientifically and progressively. We’ll then experience the age of man, or Aquarius, that the Master Jesus spoke of: “In the age of man ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.”
The objective of this metaphysical literature is too simply present the subject of astrology in a simple manner that reveals its valuable truths. Our goal is to share knowledge contained within this vast symbolic philosophy. It is our hope that it’s liberating knowledge, can play a useful, prominent and progressive part; in assisting those participating in the New Age movement, thus assuring greater advancements toward individual excellence. This knowledge will surely aid humanity in the future by developing, expanding and uplifting human consciousness spiritually, mentally and physically.

WHAT IS A SUN SIGN?
The term sun sign indicates what sector or house position the Sun was in during a person’s birth. For example if you were born on February 12 on any given year, you are considered to be an Aquarian person by soul nature; if you were born on August 3 you are considered a Leo etc. The sector or house the Sun was transiting at the time of birth, indicates aspects of your conscious mind or soul nature.
The word’s Sun, solar, and soul are all derived from the same root word. The Sun in all it’s beautiful splendor and might, affects every living thing on the outside and inside of our Earth. The Sun causes the seasons to change by its magnetic polarity, and distance from Earth.
Many wondrous things are attributed to the Sun. Sunlight is most necessary for good health and cell reproduction. Sunlight is essential for mental, physical, and spiritual growth. If we study the Sun’s effects closely, we see how greatly it affects humanities psychological nature. The Sun’s position at birth suggests much about a person’s character and mental ability. No factor in a chart is more recognizable, or influential to the conscious mind.
If well aspected in the natal chart, harmony and success can easily manifest. If poorly aspected, soul growth and positive expressions will be more challenging. With a study of nature and Christ principals, we become captains of our own ship. However, some of the greatest souls are often born in the harshest conditions of life. Any aspect can be beneficial if understood and accepted for what it truly is. Everything experienced in life depends on the spirit we express life in.
In this chapter, we do not use the common names for the Sun signs such as the Ram, the Scorpion, or the Bull. These names refer to animals and creatures, and are not suitable to describe humans who were created in the image of God. Still, the characteristics of these symbols are often exhibited in the actions of the sun signs. Humans are the most important beings on Earth, superior to any other creature. God created humanity with the ability to reason and power to create. No other creature on Earth possesses more potential; it is for this reason we refer to each sun sign by its higher image or spiritual purpose. Example: Aries the leader, or Taurus the materialist etc.
What solar sign the Sun was in at birth will indicate what natural abilities we possess within the conscious mind. The Moon will indicate what abilities we possess within the subconscious mind. Mercury will indicate how we mentally perceive life, Uranus indicates intelligence, Venus personal loves and so forth. This is very important to consider when we are evaluating a person’s natal chart.
As the astrologer places each planet in each sign and house of the natal chart, they then see a truer picture of why this soul incarnation was created for, and also what it is supposed to be doing. There are twelve sun signs. They are: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces.
These signs are broken up into four categories of Fire, Earth, Air and Water. There are four Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable sun signs. Six of the signs are termed positive masculine, and six are termed negative feminine. When we become aware of the natural energies we were born with; it becomes easier to accept ourselves for who we truly are. Armed with just the information of a person’s sun sign, we could open up an instant avenue of communication and understanding with practically anyone.
Remember always that each person has many aspects in a chart besides the sun sign. Also, remember that any subject as vast as astrology will be subject to variations. For instance, we have seen charts with as many as 8 planets in one sign. People born around the cusp (the beginning or ending of a sign) will bare two different characteristics as well. Example: Someone born on November 26 would bare Scorpio and Sagittarius tendencies. So, with no further adieu we present “The Sun or Solar Signs of Humanity”.
CHAPTER
1 — STAR CHILD
Guiding Children With Astrology
Parents want to better understand their children and their natural behavior yet, how many people truly understand themselves, let alone nature? Our children are our rebirth, a direct extension of ourselves! They often resemble us and remind us of ourselves. As infants, they have a defined soul nature, that nature is instilled within them from the time they take their first breath. Understanding that nature, and the natural effects planetary vibrations have on us, is what this book is about.
There is no one person on this planet that can deny the effects of planetary cycles and patterns. These vibrations manifested thousands of years before humanity even existed, and there is no doubt they will exist thousands of years after we are gone. Therefore, it would be a total waste not to understand these vibrations, for they are set forth in all living things. If we hope to live a natural life, we need to use and understand this knowledge. When understood, these cycles will help us and our children to control our own destinies and to better understand our place in the universe.
Psychologists tell us that after the age of seven, we begin to think and reason. By this time, we have received our most lasting impressions; these impressions will effect us for the rest of our lives. For this reason, what a young child receives by way of spiritual guidance is of great importance. When children are raised with love, affection and respect, they will take that love with them through their whole life. When love and individualism are basic fibers of their early years, a positive and spiritual life expression occurs naturally. Astrology is an Aquarian element that started developing some 5,000 years ago. The new age of Aquarius began dawning in the beginning of the 20th century.
Kids born from the early 1970’s could be considered Cosmic Renaissance children. All parents can see the changes of Aquarius transpiring in their youngsters. Today’s kids are sovereign, independent and individual, especially the human female. When parents nurture and respect their children as individuals, the spirit of love becomes reality; it then becomes evident throughout their entire lives.
In the future, knowledge of astrology will be resurrected, and it will enhance the evolution of humanity. This will reunite us with a universal consciousness we have long abandoned. Children have a great deal to work with today; again, the Aquarius element of electricity has revolutionized the present and the future. However, much will depend on how we use this revolutionizing element. To many of our kids are lost to the electronic baby sitter. Their minds and souls are being snatched away from the Christ, by games of violence and media filled with hatred. When our children aligned themselves with the beauty of nature, they will bring about the new age with spiritual direction and brotherly love.
Knowing a child’s soul nature, or sun sign, can help parents clearly understand what is truly real and beneficial to their child. This information will greatly enhance the development of their children’s truest spiritual nature. To show a child understanding of their inner nature, is the greatest gift any parent can ever hope to give. We must instill the values of knowledge, however it is more important to teach them about love; for knowledge tempered by love becomes wisdom.
The Spiritual Parent
We wrote this segment about the children, because we hold the children dearest to us second only to God. This chapter is most important, with spiritually minded parents to guide their children to a fuller conscious, we create a future life that is better than the one we presently live. The purpose of regeneration is to “elevate” our “consciousness” and enhance the future of humanity. Children depend on their parents to feed, clothe and educate them, yet this is only a small part of parenthood. Children are very much like their parents in one sense; they know mainly what their parents teach them.
The spiritual parent will guide and nurture their children with truth and understanding. When parents treat their kids with respect and dignity, they naturally allow their kids to develop their own personalities, and most importantly their soul nature. I once read it is natural for some parents, to reinforce some negative gesture of expression, 200,000 times by saying no, don’t, can’t, stop, or some other form of limiting speech. This unfortunately occurs before the child is eight years old. I really had to stop and ask myself, why is this considered normal?
In the 40 years I have been counseling, most all people think they were victims of their upbringing in some way. Today’s parents bare a special privilege that is to promote a whole new way of perceiving their offspring. Today’s children are much more aware of their individualism. The old molds of parenthood are forever being broken. Today’s parents in the free world are also more conscious and open to communication. It is up to parents to be spiritually motivated and educated. They can then elevate their children to a better and purer state of living. When parents share of themselves, they are nurturing future trust and hope. When parents show patience and understanding, they teach true love for the future.
When parents show encouragement and determination, they teach spiritual values. The New Age of consciousness is real, and it is directing us to a truer spiritual life. This is the age for humanity to let love rule supreme; the age when we will know individualism and freedoms far beyond any past generations. This can only happen if parents care enough to treat their kids as individuals. When people coincide with nature this can be achieved. The future is here, it is time to lift up our torches of light, and liberate our race from fear and domination!
Only through the parent/child relationship can we crumble the old mold of darkness and limitation and move to the new realities of peace, harmony, openness and universal love. This literature is designed to elevate human consciousness, or in other words, advance the way we think of ourselves and perceive others. The only way to be a spiritual parent is to cooperate with nature and do what comes naturally. For anything, or anyone to exist at all, every form of life must have a nature; otherwise, it would have ceased to exist long ago.
Children are the purest reflection of nature you’ll ever witness. “We are all born perfect.” It is through constant understanding of others and ourselves that we maintain that perfection. Your children are perfect by nature. Spirit created each one to be an individual part of the universal whole. I hear parents say, if only these kids would come with a set of blueprints. Well guess what they did! Your child’s astrological natal chart is the blueprint of their truest nature. When parents understand their children’s nature all they need do is guide and direct them. It really is that simple.
Jesus set the perfect pattern for humanity 2,000 years ago. It has taken us this long to become conscious enough to make that pattern a reality. Imagine how wonderful and nurturing Jesus’ parents were.
The love and knowledge He gained as a child, was to become the spiritual foundation of His wonderful life. Would God expect us to be as much a spiritual parent as Joseph and Mary, I surely think so. “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” We all have the responsibility for guiding and inspiring the little people. One thing I’m sure of, God holds the little people most dear to His heart.
This book will answer many of your questions about the nature of your child. I have only written about the Sun’s planetary position in your child’s chart. That combined with the elemental parent, should provide a positive viewpoint for both parent and child to follow. There are literally hundreds of interpretations possible in a natal chart reading. We trust and pray these messages will make a difference to anyone on the spiritual path of parenthood. Funny how much the words “brotherhood” and “parenthood” sound alike.
THE SPIRITUAL FATHER
Words describing the spiritual father are: paternal, strong, understanding, open, receptive, protective, patient, directing, available, sober, encouraging, providing, regulating, moderate, kidding, playful, instructive, masculine, humorous, bold, truthful, loyal, inspiring, affectionate, confident, and supportive. Parenting is the greatest challenge you’ll cherish for the rest of your life, so honor thy father and thy self.
Anyone can be a father; only the wise man can be a daddy.
THE SPIRITUAL MOTHER
Key words describing the spiritual mother are: nurturing, maternal, sensitive, patient, gentle, loyal, truthful, guiding, lighthearted, playful, directing, faithful, protective, bonding, available, compassionate, encouraging, generous, sympathetic, receptive, cleanliness, resourceful, adoring, devoted, humorous and responsive.
The spiritual mother is the height of emotional control and has the temperament and patience to parent a child with everlasting and unconditional love.
THE
ARIES CHILD
March 21 To April 21
Children born in Aries possess an enormous amount of active energy; they should be shown moderate indulgence and taught to use their energy constructively. If they refuse to do something wait and kindly reason with them. If all else fails make a game, or challenge out of it. They should be taught how to pace themselves and calmly center themselves. They thrive when cherished and shown genuine understanding. When shown consideration and patience, these kids can be a continuous flow of new ideas, this makes them open channels for communication and easier to teach.
When influenced by spiritual knowledge, they grow to be natural leaders with progressive insight. Aries children are apt to think and speak a lot about themselves. As children, they will start striving towards obtaining their individualism.
It is natural for them to compete; it is good practice to hold up other children as examples of good behavior. They love challenges at any age and will participate in anything fun. Instruct these children to consider the comfort and happiness of others. Impress upon them the need to be first is not always necessary.
They are encouraged easily and have natural learning ability. If challenges are placed in their way, they’ll show great ambition to succeed and overcome all of them. They can be courageous and like their symbol The Ram. They’ll go head-first at most anything. Their natural education should commence from birth, for it takes them a long time to mature. Often they chose to never grow up, this can make them seem irresponsible. Those who care for them should be firm and instructive, teach them to finish what they start.
They must be taught there is a time for play and a time for work. It is the best way to gain respect and open communication. When this is achieved, your Aries child is a constant source friendship. The enthusiasm that is shared between you is childlike, contagious and invigorating. The Aries approach to friendship is one of enthusiasm and trust; this attitude normally carries into adulthood. Most Aries have a very low tolerance to pain, when hurt or sick, they may need lots of attention. Your Aries child will mature slowly; they approach life with a child like zeal at every age. It is wise to show examples of other children’s accomplishments, this motivates them to excel, as they love a good contest. Impress upon them the importance of follow through and completion.

Aries is the “I Will” of the zodiac, as babies their willpower will be very evident. Later in life, they will have to diminish their self-ego, then they can become more responsive to the universal ego. Allow them to run wild and free whenever possible, this will give them great joy. Present challenge that they can achieve and overcome, then step back and allow them to dazzle you with the way they overcome them.
It doesn’t take much to keep them going; the slightest encouragement will keep them motivated.
