DEDICATION
For many years I have spoken to and helped many individuals reach their fitness goals. Countless hours of designing individualized programs customized to each client has taught me so much about different body types and body compositions. Although I have been in front of so many people not a single person is identical. On a daily basis I have clients sit in front of me asking for help, wondering what they are doing wrong with their workouts and why they cannot either lose or gain weight. They want help and have taken the first step in getting it. From all of the individuals I have spoken to I can honestly say ( not just because I am a personal trainer) but also for the mere fact that in my eyes, it is the greatest investment you can ever contribute to yourself. An investment it is, but one that will have the greatest return to you. Most of us would consult with a physician if we were sick, correct? Why wait until your unwillingness to exercise leads you to a physician or hospital with heart disease, type 2 Diabetes, lack of muscle density, flexibility issues, endurance or stamina problems? Let us start today! This is not going to be stress-free, not nearly as relaxed as it was to put on those extra pounds and slow down your metabolism. Exercise, gaining lean muscle mass, improving your cardiovascular system, heightening your metabolism, accomplishing that lean defined appearance. These are all the wonderful things you can now look forward too.
I am very passionate about what I do. Ask any of my clients and they will give you the same description of me. I do not per say prevaricate; I tell it exactly the way it is. Listen and I guarantee you will learn something. Apply what you read to your everyday lifestyle and I guarantee you will see results.
This book is devoted to all of my clients who took the first step in improving their lives and listened to my words of wisdom. They overcame all odds, listened to what I had to say and applied my teachings to everyday living. These are the clients that made me want to go to work each and every day and make a difference in yet another person’s life. Yes, there were uncertainties I am sure, there were days of weeping and queasiness from intense workouts. Days of certainly tender aching muscles, stretches when cheating on their nutritional plan seemed like an okay thing to do. That fear of going back to the person who they were was what stopped them and kept them moving forward. What do all of these people have in common? Although no clients were identical, they all shared one desire to be in good physical shape and to live a healthy and happier way of life from that moment forward. Anyone who tells you it cannot be done, no longer needs to be a part of your life. Surround yourself in the presence of friends who are supportive of you. This is about you; your journey!
I preach those words each and every day. Do not do it for your boyfriend or girlfriend, wife or husband. Relationships come and go but you have one body and it is with you till the end.
Thank you to all of my wonderful clients who have had the willingness to share everything about themselves with me. This book is dedicated to each and every one of you. Yes I designed your program, I helped you along the way but it was you that took those wings I gave you and learned how to fly. Congratulations to all of you who have achieved your goals and all my other clients who are well on their way to success. You can do this and I will be by your side the entire journey!
