INTRODUCTION What is Natural Bodybuilding?

Natural bodybuilding is weight-training to develop the physique, or to increase strength, or to improve athletic conditioning and performance, or for general fitness, or some combination of all these, using exercise, nutrition and rest. It does not rely on the use of anabolic steroids, synthetic chemical compounds which are potentially muscle and strength building substances, but which also have potentially dangerous side effects. We strongly recommend you don't use these substances. Steroids, as is well known, have gained widespread usage in all strength sports and weightlifting related activities, even to the extent of being used in the non-competitive and casual forms of these activities.

STEROIDS

What is significant about the use and acceptance of these substances are many things. The predominance of their use, beyond the obvious great advantage steroid users have in competition or even training results, has made the corresponding training information geared overwhelmingly to the steroid users. There is no way the overly-long workouts, strange nutritional programs, etc., can be successfully used by the vast majority of natural (drug free) weight-trainers and bodybuilders. As a natural trainer, you must rely on information geared solely to natural trainers to make progress. It is possible to make great gains in muscle size and strength by training naturally, but you must train differently than those using the anabolic drugs. This is what we hope to show you how to do or improve, productive training without drugs.
