Chapter One
The thrill of the chase. The complete control of life or death. All of this elated her as She followed the heavy breathing of her victim. Cool and calculated, She moved through the trees, following the sound of the woman’s frantic footsteps as she scrambled for an escape. The woman was bleeding, leaving a clear trail that would lead right to her once she was cornered. It wouldn’t be long now. She had picked a remote part of the woods. It had taken her months to scout it out, and it was perfect. She had spent weeks after finding this place to perfect it. She had enlisted help from a construction crew, and had charmed them into thinking that it was a secret refuge for her and fabricated lover. A fifteen feet tall wall surrounded the area. Once the wall had been erected, making it into a dangerous maze had been no problem. There was only one way in, and one way out. She made sure She was the only one out. There was a sudden stop of footsteps, followed shortly by a devastated sob. The woman had found the wall, and was now cornered. She smiled and picked up her pace. She found the woman in the corner, her knees pulled to her chest and her arms wrapped around her long slender legs, sobbing uncontrollably. The woman looked up as She approached and attempted to scramble backwards. She begged for her life, a wild primitive look in her eyes that showed that She had complete control. She reveled in the fear that overtook her victim.
“Turn around,” She growled.
“Please no! Please don’t hurt me!” The woman begged. The words difficult to make out amongst the uncontrollable sobs.
She grabbed the woman’s arm and threw it to the side, knowing that the woman’s fear had crippled her, and she wouldn’t resist. The woman lay in a crumpled heap, sobs racking her body, but she did not move. She pulled the knife she carried on her belt out of its sheath. Blood still covered it from her last victim. She tore the fabric of the woman’s flimsy shirt and began carving. The woman screamed and squirmed, She stopped until the woman stopped moving and collapsed back into a sobbing heap and began again. This patterned continued until the art had been finished. Blood covered the ground. The woman had long since fainted from the pain, forcing Her to wait until she woke up to finish what She had started. She wanted to watch the woman’s face as she took her last breath. She wanted her awake and completely aware of what was happening. She would stay here for hours if that was what it took.
