Can God, or does God speak and communicate to ordinary men and women today? Yes He does and He can. And the greatest or the primary channel God so communicates, speaks and talks to people today is through His Eternal Logos Word, which is the written Bible.
All visions, dreams, prophecies and sundry revelations are only secondary means and these should be judged, appraised and tested against the benchmark of the Written Word of God, which is the Bible. The Spirit of Prophecy would therefore take its place as only a secondary channel through which God communicates His divine revelations to ordinary men and women today. As you commence reading the succeeding chapters, you are encouraged to test the writings to examine its consistencies and conformities to the benchmark of the written scriptures like the early Christians of Berea in the book of Acts.
We are living in times where a spirit of deception from the very pit of Hell rampages globally on a diabolical prowl to misguide and deceive Christians who are gullible and who fail to walk in the spirit, who constantly give in to base appetites of their carnal nature.
A cult is easily discernable by way of their propagation pandering to such base inclination of the bulk of carnal Christian populace. For example, the prosperity gospel cults, teach, over-emphasize and indoctrinate on only and only on prosperity scriptures taken out of their original context so as to subtly in-calculate and brain-wash hedonistic values into the hearts of gullible Christians to the extent of becoming completely blind to the need of their eternal souls and its preparation for eternity in the world to come. Another example would be the cult of “grace” teachers, who again teach, over-emphasize and indoctrinate false teachings of “grace” to facilitate and make way for unrepentant sinning and indulgence of evils by concealing and doing away the dire need for true biblical repentance of sin and restitution thereof prior to the release of grace, mercies and forgiveness of Christ into a Christian.
Who could expose and bring to light these contrary spirits of error and deception which prevails unabatedly today save and except the Spirit of Prophecy. The very nature of the Spirit of Prophecy is a clarion call for true Bible repentance of sin and to shun the lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes and the pride of life;

Throughout the epochs of history, a special revelation from the throne of God brought about great turning points in history. A revelation that the “Just shall live by faith” brought about the great reformation movement. A revelation that “All men are created equal” brought about the abolishment of slavery in the United States. The Spirit of Prophecy carries within itself the very seeds of revelation which could bring about a great turning point in your personal life and situation.
As you read through the succeeding pages of contents, may these seeds of revelation be planted into the deep recesses of your heart and bring about great turning points in your destiny.
