1.General:
Country facts and cost of life
Brazil is a big country with 26 states and has
84 million inhabitants, growing from year to
year. This is what I found interesting: In
european countries the citizens (inhabitants)
of different countries like U.K., Germany,
Sweden and the Netherlands are going less
and less, because the people don`t want any
childs to born and go out of the country to
more warmer areas (e.g. to Brazil) and in
Brazil the inhabitants grow from year to year,
because of people which come from Europe
and the U.S.A. and the people make still more
kids, although also this rate sinks from 3.89
kids per family in 1985 to 2.3 kids per family
in 2007.
Other facts are that Brazil is one of the
biggest countries at the world and offers a
coast of roughly 8000 km beach and the
biggest forest area – the Amazon area, which
attracts more and visitors, because of Ecotourism.
The north of Brazil is not as rich like the
south of Brazil, although it has it´s qualities.
The living costs in Salvador or Natal or
Forataleza are much more cheaper than in Sao
Paolo, Rio de Janeiro or in cities more south
of Sao Paulo.
In the south of Sao Paulo you will also find
Favelhas (the areas, where the poorest of the
poorest live), but not as much like up north
from Sao Paulo.
The daily living costs in countryside areas are
also much more cheaper than in big cities.
Your expenses depending also on the
products you choose to buy. E.g.: If you buy
cheese from Minais Gerais in Salvador, it will
be more expensive than to buy in Rio de
Janeiro or directly in Minais Gerais/Belo
Horizonte. Simply because of the distance,
which has the cheese to bring behind to arrive
in other cities and the costs of it.
Like in euopean and american cities exists
also here different supermarkets with
different price-ranges. If you want to live for
10 Dollar/day it is possible with a breakfast
for 2,50 Dollar, a lunch for 3 Dollar and
dinner again for 3 Dollar, plus some drinks
(water 50 US-Cents and cheaper). And this is
not when you buy in a supermarket, but if you
go for eat. Imagine now, how cheap it is if
you buy in supermarkets.
In average is the cost of living 2-3 times
cheaper than in Europe/USA. And with the
strong euopean currency, like GBP or EUR it
is easy here to make a living.
And in the north of Brazil and far away from
the beach is it again 1-2 times cheaper than at
the coast-areas of Brazil, where the tourists
fly in.
Why this country makes sense
Brazil makes sense for many reasons.
The most people like this country as a second
home or investment opportunity, because of
many reasons. I will tell you, which ones
these are here, right now.
I have so many reason right now, that I don´t
want, that you think that the first reason is the
most common.
The climate is for around 300 days per year
with an average temperature of 25 degreece
one of the bests worldwide.
Property prices are in average 3 times lower
than the same quality in Europe (Spain) or
USA (Florida) and grow much more faster in
value than in Europe/USA (50% ROI are not
uncommon).
The economy is stong like never before and
the Lula government since 2003 very stable,
with a stable and constantly growing currency
(Real).
Bazil has very friendly open minded people,
warm hearts around.
In Brazil live the people (the crowd) the
moment and dance and sing on the streets,
alsthough there is nothing to celebrate...It is
just the mood (happyness), which comes
maybe from the sun.
8000 km coast of white pure sand and shiny
water, accessable roughly 365 days/year for
all kind of watersports.
Average living costs are 2-3 times cheaper
than in Europe/USA.
If you are vegetarian, I recommend
SouthEastAsia, because Brazil is the
meatcountry and 99% eat it on roughly every
corner at the country. You can get every 20
meter a piece of it.
Economic indicators:
Like stated before, is Brazil a fast growing
country and the economy of Brazil was never
been stronger than now.
The export of cafe to mostly western
countries grows from year to year and Brazil
is the number 1 exporteur in cafe, before
Colombia, which was number 1 till 2002.
Acai, which was not known till 2003 in the
world, spreads since 2004/2005 in all the
western countries. Acai costs in Germany 40
Euro, which is 100 Reais for 1 liter. Here
costs an Acai, 100ml, 1 Reais (0,70 USDollar,
0,40 Euro). You see what I mean?
Acai is stated at many wellknown health sites
and at the Ophrah Winphry Show as the
number ONE Anti-Oxidant in the world and
healthier than all the other juices together.
And Brazil takes the profits.
Statistics say, that Brazil will have in 15 years
the same economic power like leading nations
have now and Brazil will be the leader
together with China and India and the USA
and other leading western nations will left
behind.
The Real is today not longer an unstable
currency.
The salary for the people goes up, what
means that people can spend more for travel,
clothes and so on.
- Visas and residency programs
Everybody which has a passport can come to
Brazil for at least 3 months without any Visa.
If you want to stay longer, you can ask for it
at any Policia Federal office. Mostly they
give 30-60 days more. If you overstay in
Brazil, you pay only 8,28 Reais per day for
100 days. This means: If you stay without
Visa 300 days in Brazil, you pay only 828
Reais and that´s it. You don´t have to fear
further steps from their side.
I spoke about the tourist Visa.
Also here exist other Visa, like for any
country.
In case you need a Working Visa, you can ask
for it also at the Policia Federal office. You
need to show your passport and the contract
from your company, which allows you to stay
here for 1 year. After 1 year, the Policia
Federal will expand your Visa.
If you need a permanent Visa, you should ask
for a Permanencia.
The Permanencia allows you to stay forever
in Brazil.
You can get the Permanencia for many
reasons, e.g., your husband/wife is brazilian
or one of your family members is a brazilian
citizen (your child, your brother, sister and so
on) or one of your family members already
lives here and now you also want to live here.
I recommend for you the following residency
program:
http://ptshamrock.com/brazil.html
It is offshore and you can get your residency
in the whole country and not only on a place,
where they want to have you.
How to open a business:
In Brazil not everybody can open a business.
There exists some prerequisites.
You need to have a minimum amount of
50000 US-Dollar to invest in an other
company, so that you are a part of it (e.g.
shareholder) or invest in your own company
this minimum amount.
If this is given, you go straight to the office,
which is named here as „Cartorio“ and every
small village/city has one of these
„Cartorios“. The Cartorio is an official place,
where you show your I.D. Documents and
