A Personal Note to the Reader
This little book was started many years ago during a time of working as an astrological counselor. Soulmate couples always seemed familiar, but soon there was a new type of relationship that seemed even more profound. It spoke of the new times and new levels of mastery. The term “Beloved Couples” seemed to fit.
The first draft of this book was finished, but it seemed premature. Many of the couples whose stories were documented for the book ended up “shipwrecked.” The timing seemed difficult, particularly because we were about to enter the three darkest years on the Mayan calendar (2007, 2008, 2009). The book was set aside for a while, and writing was resumed at the end of 2009, and again in the beginning of 2011. Hence this revised version.
In writing about Beloved couples, I kept in mind words said by the disciples of Mata Amritananda Mayi (Amma) at her temple in San Ramon.
They conveyed her premise that the best and most fulfilling relationships occur after enlightenment or mastery has occurred. Purity and love are greater, and much difficult karma has been overcome.
The years 2010 through 2012 seem most promising for Beloved partners to find each other, since these years mark a rapid transition to new beginnings and rapidly increasing consciousness. The joined love and service of Beloved couples have the potential to uplift any planet or location to a higher dimensional frequency and greater harmony.
This book represents a composite personal view of the new couples, with observations gained from counseling clients, and information given by favorite teachers and books. Perhaps it will be of help during these unprecedented times of challenge and change.
