I was born In Hull, Yorkshire, England in 1956. I started to write at the age of 44 in the year 2000 and I wasn't very good. I slowly learned over the years that followed, mainly from people online who gave up their time to help me. I chose to write imaginative things and sometimes allowed my own imagination to get away from me. I started with erotic tales before going onto more serious stuff, although having said that my erotic stories have been popular. The first book I published was "The Second Apprentice" followed closely by "The Talking Sword" both of which are sword and sorcerer type tales. My favorite release though was "Hell's Gate" and that one's doing very well now. Because my erotic stories are so popular, I will keep writing them. I'm well known for setting fair prices for my stories. One of them for instance is called "The Ultimate Collection of short erotic tales 1 & 2" and is priced at $4.99. If you were to buy each story separately, that book would cost you over $30. I now live in America and have done for the past 6 years. I'm very happily married and intend to stay that way. Carl

Like most young boys, he built model airplanes and dreamed of becoming a military pilot. His dream became reality, when, at the age of seventeen, he was accepted into the Army Air Corps. Soon after his eighteenth birthday, he was called to active duty where he spent the next two years of the War as an Aviation Cadet. He graduated from twin-engine school as a Flight Officer and first pilot of a medium bomber just as the atom bomb ended the War. Upon graduating from the University of Utah, he applied for active duty, which coincided with America’s entry into the Korean War. He spent most of his career until retirement in 1969 in staff positions involving the maintenance of bombers and missiles, both air to ground and inter-continental. His overseas assignments included such diverse places as French Morocco and Thule, Greenland. At Thule, he took a ground part in special photoreconnaissance missions, which helped bring about the fall of the Soviet Union and the end of the Cold War. He began writing for publication when his first historical novel came to the attention of Barnes and Nobel. Shortly after leaving the 44th Bomb Wing he met and married Miss Savannah of the Miss Georgia Beauty Pageant. Lieutenant Colonel Egbert and Betty, his bride of 56 years, are retired and live with their dog in Washington, Utah. As he is fond of saying, “I never had it so good”….

The Essence by Nancy MacCreery The Essence by Nancy MacCreery May 16, 2009 $4.99 67099 words Sample 50%
Author bio:
Nancy lives in a small cottage a short walk from the ocean in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with a jungle of plants, a well trained dog and several blue-tailed skinks. The skinks are welcome guests as they scurry about keeping the insect population in check. When she's not dipping her toes into the water or tripping over shells on the beach (or writing), Nancy's sailing with her husband on his 40' sailboat on the intracoastal waterway. But not everyday, as it doesn't have wireless and she's addicted to the internet. She is hard at work on several more books, including one where she's convinced the Somali pirates that it would more profitable to sell their story as a movie than continue to harass shipping. The name for that would be, of course, Pirates of the Gulf of Aden and star some handsome guy with great eye makeup. Of course, very little of the above is true, but it sounds better than real life, and what did you expect from a writer of fiction? Seriously, I hope you enjoy reading "The Essence". Please let me know what you think of it. If you like the book, please consider writing a review. If you have any other comments, please send them to me at my gmail address, NDESMAC, with "book comment" in the subject line.

The Essence of Tibetan Buddhism by Lama Yeshe The Essence of Tibetan Buddhism by Lama Yeshe July 12, 2010 $0.99 20931 words Sample 50%
Author bio:
Lama Thubten Yeshe was born in Tibet in 1935. At the age of six, he entered the great Sera Monastic University, Lhasa, where he studied until 1959, when the Chinese invasion of Tibet forced him into exile in India. Lama Yeshe continued to study and meditate in India until 1967, when, with his chief disciple, Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche, he went to Nepal. Two years later he established Kopan Monastery, near Kathmandu, in order to teach Buddhism to Westerners. In 1974, the Lamas began making annual teaching tours to the West, and as a result of these travels a worldwide network of Buddhist teaching and meditation centers—the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT)—began to develop. In 1984, after an intense decade of imparting a wide variety of incredible teachings and establishing one FPMT activity after another, at the age of forty-nine, Lama Yeshe passed away. He was reborn as Ösel Hita Torres in Spain in 1985, recognized as the incarnation of Lama Yeshe by His Holiness the Dalai Lama in 1986, and, as the monk Lama Tenzin Osel Rinpoche, began studying for his geshe degree in 1992 at the reconstituted Sera Monastery in South India. Lama’s remarkable story is told in Vicki Mackenzie’s book, Reincarnation: The Boy Lama (Wisdom Publications, 1996). Thousands of pages of Lama's teachings have been made available as transcripts, books and audio by the Lama Yeshe Wisdom Archive, and most are freely available through the Archive's website. Other teachings have been published by Wisdom Books, including Wisdom Energy; Introduction to Tantra; The Tantric Path of Purification (Becoming Vajrasattva) and more, available at www.wisdompubs.org.
