I have also co-authored a book, entitled, "The Old Porter Place" which is a nostalgic collection of more than 50 brief true stories from the childhood of my cousin and me while we were growing up in western Oklahoma in the 1940s and 50s. Terry is involved in state and national initiatives to develop “self-directed” in-home services. He also serves on the Racine County Commission on Aging and Board of the Aging and Disability Resource Center. He is a member of the Kenosha County Long-Term Care Workforce Alliance. Deel drie van de trilogie is nog altijd 'work in progress'. Om deze lange periode van literaire stilte te doorbreken was er in 2009 gelukkig een nieuw boek. Geen boek van mij alleen, maar een bundel. 'Time Out'. Een literaire ontmoeting van een 15-tal schrijvers die elk een sci-fi / thriller / spannend verhaal afgeleverd hebben, gebundeld in dit unieke project. Time Out verscheen in juli 2009. En nu heb ik een nieuwe stap genomen door mijn eerste stap te zetten in het e-publishen. 'De eenzame weg naar de hel' is nu te vinden in verschillende e-stores. Op naar de volgende... :-) Luc

Biography of the author, R. Harper Mason Richard was born in El Dorado, but spent his early years in Norphlet, Arkansas, a little town of 650 people located in the south Arkansas oil fields. It would be over thirty years before Richard would begin to write again. This time it was after he had quit Exxon, started his own company, and moved back from Texas to South Arkansas, and instead of a 1920 oil boom novel, it was The Red Scarf. Richard has numerous interests, and he has received many awards for his environmental work and for historic preservation. He was president of the Arkansas Wildlife Federation for three years and was named Conservationist of the Year in 1989. He has received numerous awards for historic preservation, the most noteworthy being the highest statewide award given, The Parker Westbrook Award. In August of 2008 Richard was featured in the High Profile section of the Arkansas Democrat- Gazette.
